About this property

The log cabin, built in 2012 by the Amish, is located on the Root River Trail. The trail is great for biking, snowmobiling, cross country skiing, rollerblading, and walking. The cabin is 2.25 miles from Lanesboro via the trail. To access the trail, you just need to hop on your bike and ride down the road around the farmhouse.

The cabin is located on Hwy 250 3.75 miles by car north of Lanesboro with scenic bluff views. It is fully-furnished including two bedrooms, one with a king-size bed and the other with a queen bed. There also is a futon and bunk beds.

This is a complete house with everything you need, except food. Enjoy the scenic bluff views while sitting out on the covered porch with a cup of coffee or a glass of wine. There is plenty of room to bring family or friends or just a loved one to enjoy a romantic get away.

2nd year in a row and still the best!

Root River Valley Cabin is amazing, and the owners make it so easy to check in. It's always clean, well-appointed, and close to so many activities. I would recommend this cabin to anyone that is interested. Thank you again for another great trip!

Delightful Stay in the Driftless District

The cabin was a delight - spacious, clean, cozily appointed and plenty of room. The location was great and the surrounding towns and countryside provided plenty of opportunity for fun exploration. We hated to leave, but will be back!

MOTM, Superbowl gathering

This place was wonderful, our group was very pleased with the home, it was beautiful, very comfortable, warm and inviting. The host Renee had many, welcome to my property, hope your stay is perfect. She also worked very hard to assure that we were able to watch the superbowl, thank you for all you did. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen was well stocked with her additional things like coffee. I dont know what else to say but it was, well i could live there full time.

Why they chose this property

We owned the land for 20 years and always wanted to build a log cabin on it. The quiet of the country and the beautiful scenic bluff views make a relaxing atmosphere. Having coffee in the swings or love seat on the covered porch or a glass a wine is a great way to start and end the day!
