Great place to stay with reserved parking

  • 5 of 5

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this house. It is very comfortable and well equipped. Having a reserved parking space about a 5 to 10 minute walk was a real bonus. We were there for 9 nights and another couple joined us for 4 of those nights. Having one bedroom and bath on the ground floor and the second on the top floor gave each of us a lot of privacy. The living room and kitchen on the middle floor was spacious. The house is well located to wander around town especially during market days. The town is well located to do day trips to surrounding villages. The grocery store is near the parking space so it is convenient to pick up items on your way back after a day of exploring. We will stay at the house again on our next visit. We also recommend Mistral Bistro as a great place to eat. They were very welcoming, helpful in explaining the menu in English and the food was excellent. Les Colorades is a wonderful store for high quality tablecloths, napkins and other items. The owners are very helpful and speak English so it is easy to get your questions answered.

Perfectly placed house for a stay in L'Isle sur La Sorgue

  • 5 of 5

This is a lovely property over 3 floors and well situated for exploring the local area and the town. It is barely 2 minutes walk from the centre of the town which is perfect for buying fresh bread and food but far enough not to be disturbed by any noise, although it is opposite one of the many water wheels so on the walking route for tourists but this is not much of a problem.

It is over 3 floors and there is a spiral staircase to the main living area on the first floor and then up again to the main bedroom and bathroom and the delightful outside terrace so this may not suit those not so able - although there is a bedroom on the ground floor. There is no air conditioning although several fans are provided and these were much needed when we were there.

Parking is about 10 minutes walk away and is secure and there is an area opposite the property for unloading.

It is not an easy place to find as there are so many narrow roads in the town, many of which are one way so if you miss a turning, you have to start again!

There is a busy market on a Sunday which attracts lots of visitors and is almost too busy to enjoy so wait until later in the week when there is a smaller market which is just as good.

We had a great week here and the weather was also good to us too.

Great place in L'Isle sur la Sorgue

  • 5 of 5

If you are looking for a place to base yourself in Provence then this is for you. We have stayed in this accommodation on three occasions and have never been disappointed.

Well equipped kitchen and lots of space plus parking in a nearby parking lot.

A wonderful experience!

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I spent a week in this wonderful house in L'Isle-sur-la-Sorgue. The house was neat, clean, exceptionally comfortable, quiet, and probably the best equipped house we have ever stayed in. It had everything we needed, and more. And its location was ideal, within easy walking distance to markets, restaurants, and shops. We had a car and the parking space for the town house was handy and secure. We used this house as our base of operations and found that it was easy to drive to all the sites we had planned to visit. And I must mention Bernadette, who greeted us, gave us lots of helpful information, and couldn't have been nicer. We loved our stay here and give our highest recommendation to this very special home!

Charming house just a block from L'Isle center

  • 5 of 5

We were impressed with a living area on the ground and main floor and the lovely, cozy roof-top terrace. The kitchen is very well equipped; whatever you need, you will find it available. The bathrooms are not en suite, but they are positioned so that each bedroom has private access to 'their' designated bathroom (although there are stairs involved for reaching the bath used by the ground floor occupants). The town house location is very convenient to the wonderful Sunday market around the church square and beyond. We enjoyed being within walking distance to dozens of cafes/restaurants and incredible bakeries. L'Isle sur la Sorgue is also centrally located for excursions to local towns, wineries, historical sites (Vaison-la-Romaine, etc.). It was very relaxing after a day's outing to have a glass of wine and listen to the soothing sounds of the water wheel. It should be noted that the secure parking area is not adjacent to the property but, in our case, the short distance was not a problem. Overall, the accommodations and customer service were among the best we have experienced in our 40+ years of travelling in France.

A lovely house in a great town

  • 4 of 5

We had a lovely week in L'isle-sur-la-Sorgue in Joelle's lovely house. The house has everything you need and is spotlessly clean, a real home from home. The location is perfect, a few minutes walk to shops and restaurants yet in a quiet position. Sylvie was very helpful and answered any questions we had. I would definitely recommend this house to a friend or relative.
