Great house, great location

Spent a very enjoyable week here in late October. We received a warm welcome and were shown around on arrival.The house was well equipped and had everything we needed, in a quiet picturesque location and yet only a few minutes walk from at least 3 good boulangeries and other shops and restaurants. We loved the roof terrace and took full advantage of it in the warm sunshine. Also greatly appreciated having the parking space as the old town can get busy. L'isle sur la Sorgue is a really attractive place to stay with a relaxed feel and a real buzz on market days. It is within easy reach of Avignon and the surrounding Provincal countryside is worth exploring. HIghly recommended property.

Overall, a great place to stay! Good location and includes parking space.

We stayed for 10 days in this townhouse. We picked L'Isle because it was central to all the things we wanted to visit. It was a good choice for that reason. We had intended to cook fairly often, but only cooked real meals 3 of the days. The kitchen was light on counter space, but other than that, quite satisfactory. It turned out that shopping for food was a bit more difficult than we anticipated. There was no fish store and no cheese store nearby. Of course, there were bakeries and butcher shops and a small general market. One thing we learned is that when traveling in France, you have to learn to plan ahead for your Sundays and Mondays because so many stores and restaurants are closed. Our best meal was definitely at Mistral Bistro Moderne. The townhouse itself is well represented by the pictures. It was a pleasant place to spend 10 days. The only thing that really required improvement in the house was better quality bath towels.

Location, location, location!

Right in the heart of this lovely town and next to an iconic waterwheel, this lovely home is the ideal place to stay. Our host were as enchanting as the home. Renters should be aware that this is a three story home with a winding staircase that could be a challenge for some, especially with heavy luggage. But then again, this is the charm of these old town homes. A sitting area along with a bedroom and bathroom are on the first level. A very well equipped kitchen and living room are on the second level. The third level is complete with a bedroom and bath along with a small roof terrace. There is no air conditioning, but cross ventilation and electric fans we sufficient for mid July. Our hosts even thought of welcoming us with a chilled bottle of wine.

Perfect location....

If L’Isle is a perfect location for exploring the beautiful towns, countryside & markets of Provence, then Roue de Jo is the perfect ‘home’ within L’Isle.

A large house with 2 bedrooms & bathrooms, a spacious living space with adjacent kitchen and an outdoor terrace all radiating around central winding staircase, it sits on Rue Jean Theophile at the start of the ‘water wheel’ tourist path. In fact the water wheel is at you front door, and it’s mesmerizing sounds will lull you to sleep at night.

The house is well equipped with odd assortments of kitchen utensils, bric-a-brac and loads of books, tourist guide and brochures. It’s not ‘cutesy’, simply homely and comfortable.

Wifi, hot water, appliances all work well.

It sits 50 metres from the market place, including the Café de France pub, bakery and church; 50 metres from the Rue Carnot shopping strip with boutiques, restaurants, another bakery & pub.

Importantly for L’Isle-sur-la-Sorgues, we had a dedicated secure parking spot about 5 minutes walk, adjacent to the supermarket. This provided easy access to & from the centre of L’Isle. Absolute gold here.

Would definitely look no further for a return visit!

Loved loved loved this house

This house has everything going for it: everything you need, great terrace for drinks and cheese, great town, close for day trips anywhere in Provence. Best of all the people you deal with Alaine and Bernadette are super nice, helpful and willing to do anything to help. Parking spot is short walk next to supermarket so you can pick up anything you need. Towns market is excellent. Highly recommend staying here and would definitely book again

Great place to stay with reserved parking

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this house. It is very comfortable and well equipped. Having a reserved parking space about a 5 to 10 minute walk was a real bonus.We were there for 9 nights and another couple joined us for 4 of those nights. Having one bedroom and bath on the ground floor and the second on the top floor gave each of us a lot of privacy. The living room and kitchen on the middle floor was spacious. The house is well located to wander around town especially during market days. The town is well located to do day trips to surrounding villages. The grocery store is near the parking space so it is convenient to pick up items on your way back after a day of exploring. We will stay at the house again on our next visit. We also recommend Mistral Bistro as a great place to eat. They were very welcoming, helpful in explaining the menu in English and the food was excellent. Les Colorades is a wonderful store for high quality tablecloths, napkins and other items. The owners are very helpful and speak English so it is easy to get your questions answered.
