About Lisa Finch
Welcome to the Bird House (affectionately called since our last name is FINCH). The hummingbird feeder should attract your first greeters in short time while relaxing on the deck. Please make yourself at home and enjoy all this 100+ year old cottage has to offer. We are the fourth owners with the first being clergy from University of Notre Dame. The home has been remodeled over the years, but still has original features including the stone fireplace. This has been converted to a gas log, but turned off during the summer months. Please let us know if on any cool evenings you would like use of fireplace and we can adjust. The septic system is well maintained, but only toilet paper can be flushed. The well water is pumped into home and you’ll hear the pump when it comes on in the back closet. The backyard features to fire pit to enjoy and our property promptly ends behind the shed. Only twigs on our property can be collected as our neighbors have their own stack of firewood. We have a small stack of firewood beside shed. The trail to the lake is easily accessible across the road and directly down the gravel path. There is a 10 section wood pier at the end that we share with neighbors. Please enjoy and bring all personal belongs back to cottage in the evening. Please let us know if you have a boat to tie-up and we will give more instructions on best location. Cheers to a Relaxing Week at Lake Tippecanoe!

Fall weekend by the lake
My family had a wonderful time at the Birdhouse over the fall break. The house was exactly what we needed - fireplace, plenty of space, kitchen with everything we needed plus a gas grill. View of the lake from the living room was beautiful in the afternoon sunlight. Highly recommend and hope we are able to come back in the summer.
Wonderful place to stay, it is completely updated but still gives you that historical cottage feel. Highly recommend!
Great place to stay. Clean. Even though there is a popular lake it was quite. Very relaxing time.
Very easy. Owner got right back with you with any questions
A Great Stay at Lake Tippecanoe
We stayed five days at the property on Lake Tippecanoe. The rustic farm house met our needs perfectly. It was clean and up to date. The large porch served us well for gathering. The path to and from the Lake got you in shape. We had a wonderful time.
Very clean and everything that was promised was there.
Our family had a wonderful time and enjoyed the accommodations. The house was just the right size for us and we all slept good in the bedrooms. Only one complaint. The bushes need to be trimmed down so you can see trying to get out of the driveway. That is dangerous trying to back or even pull out forward. If someone were in an accident there could be legal repercussions. Just a suggestion.
Perfect family destination
The home was well cared for and clean. Ample sleeping room and living space for our crew of 10. Owners were very quick to respond to any need or question we had. We would definitely recommend The Bird House!
