Beautiful house and property
Laura's house was absolutely perfect for our family! The house is well-appointed with everything you need and a great set up for spending time indoors and outdoors. The big kitchen is wonderful for cooking and the new covered deck is perfect for eating and catching up. Each of the bedrooms is great for adults with very comfortable beds and the upstairs "dorm" is great for kids. We spent many hours between the pool and the deck, enjoying the beautiful property. It is perfectly located between Easton and St. Michael's, so a quick trip to get and do anything! We highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing vacation!

A lovely home set on a beautiful, peaceful property. Large covered deck provided a wonderful place to sit and enjoy the view or have lunch at the table. Screened in porch was perfect to dine outside in the evening. The home had a variety of rooms to accomodate many different gatherings. Great pool and long warf leading to a floating dock with kayaks and room for a mid-size power dock to tie up. The creek provides both terrific views, interesting kayaking, and access to the Tred Avon River and Oxford.

Lazy fun family time.
What a beautiful tranquil setting. No need to hop in and out of our cars to go anywhere. (And that's a good thing because St. Michael's rolls up their sidewalks around 5pm:( A beautiful well loved cozy home. I love to cook so we had wonderful meals. No distractions, just relaxing and laughing our lazy days away.

Beautiful house and lovely hosts
This is a beautifully appointed, roomy, and comfortable home, nestled on a quiet creek off the Tred Avon River. It was a perfect location for our siblings get-together. The house is both elegant and comfortable and has all the space and amenities a big family would want for a week away. We spent most of our time relaxing in the huge kitchen/family room overlooking the gorgeous deck and beyond it, the back garden and creek. We had to take work calls but could easily work in privacy from different rooms, whether it was the formal living room, the study, or the porch. A big plus is that all the bedrooms have their own en-suite bathrooms. There is a nice dock where my brother-in-law went fishing every morning. There are also kayaks which unfortunately we didn’t use as it was too hot. We had cocktails and grilled most evenings on the deck (which is as large as the house itself). The owners, Laura and Greg, couldn’t have been nicer and more helpful. When we arrived, much to our distress (and to Laura’s), the pool was a lagoon green, due to a combination of recent heavy rains and mosquito sprays in the area that resulted in high phosphate content (this happened kind of overnight to other pools in the area as well). Laura was totally responsive and the pool people were there several times a day to treat the pool. From our side, we understood this was a case of “force majeure” and that it would take some time for the pool to be treated and get back to normal – luckily it didn’t take too long and we were able to use the pool after a couple of days. While we were waiting, Laura offered passes to the swimming pool at the yacht club but we were ok to wait for a while and spend the time antiquing and rediscovering our favorite sites in Easton and St. Michaels. Thank you, Laura and Greg, for being such wonderful hosts and letting us enjoy your beautiful house. We have rented many waterfront houses on the Eastern Shore through the years and it’s rare to find a perfect house that has the personality and charm (and amenities) of a lived-in house, and where guests can feel comfortable at the same time. My husband and I both grew up in Easton and moved back in 2004 after spending time in DC and CT. Our family loves this house and property and we enjoy all the area has to offer. We've seen the changes over the years and the rather sleepy towns have turned into vibrant and fun ones. We love the great restaurants and shops plus we're only 45 minutes to Annapolis and 1 1/2 hr to the beach. We hope our guests have a wonderful vacation and we're happy to accommodate you anyway we can.

Why they chose this property

We fell in love with this property the moment we saw it because of it's charm and location. It's such a classic Eastern Shore home! Honestly we're 7 minutes to Easton and 8 to St Michaels! The kids can kayak by themselves because there's no real boat traffic in the creek and it's so nice and quiet too. It's peaceful, has spacious rooms, and is great for entertaining. We also have a barn (on the adjacent property) so guests are welcome to pet the horses and mini donkeys (LuLu and CoCo).

What makes this property unique

Large and spacious rooms with each bedroom having its own bath. The 3rd floor is complete with a queen bed plus 2 twin beds. It has it's own bath and living space with games and TV..
The pool is surrounded by pretty gardens and has a tiki bar plus a gazebo. The deck and screened porch are steps away as is the firepit. Kayaks are great fun and a wonderful way to explore the shoreline and see the wildlife!
