My experience was absolutely disgusting
I did not stay in this house the homeowner was advised to cancel the reservation the parties I invited with me verbally and physically attacked me for my own safety due to being in fear for my life I left the property but before that I did call the 911 dispatch twice they would not send anyone to the house to remove these people the homeowner refused to move these people because she did not want to lose her five star rating and I am still being billed. The homeowner also was in contact with the guests but they did not pay for the house I paid for the house the house was in my name those people should have been removed immediately. I hope I never have to deal with anything like this again it was utterly disgusting and terrifying at the same time.

About the host

We are a family of Arizona natives. Both Jeff and I were born and raised in the valley. We have raised our 5 boys in Queen Creek, AZ and love it there. We built this cabin from the ground up and love spending time here and have created many memories over the years, but want to be able to share the experience and all of the beauty with others.

Why they chose this property

We purchased the 4+ acres years ago with the intention to build someday. We chose it for the beautiful mountain, lake and forest views, it's ease of getting to it off of the highway but still having a secluded feel. We knew Sunrise Resort wasn't far and we love to snowboard and ski. My husband is a hunter and knew he would be hunting near the area. We would camp on the property for years until our dream of building came true in 2007. We wanted something rustic, but still comfortable with all of the modern amenities. We wanted to capture the gorgeous views. We wanted a place where we could go with friends and enjoy the fun of staying at a cabin as well as the beautiful outdoors. I think we accomplished all of that when we built our place.

What makes this property unique

Cabin sits on over 4 acres in the pines. So many things to do and places to see here. Luna Lake is literally across the highway from the cabin where you can rent boats or go fishing or trail riding. You can see the lake from the property. Several good restaurants, gas station and mini grocery store just up the road in downtown Alpine; The famous Lollipop Shop for ice cream, candy, and a great restaurant and bar (Alpine Grill and Still), as well as several other restaurants. Fun, small town feel with local rodeos, parades, and celebrations throughout the year. Sunrise Resort is about 40 minutes away; not too far from great snowboarding and skiing as well as fun snow hills. Nelson Reservoir is about 20 minutes away for more good fishing. Springerville is about 40 minutes away...Western Drug is a fun general store to hit for all kinds of stuff. Great hiking, fishing, trails for horseback riding or four wheeling all around! Just miles from the Luna, New Mexico border. Great hunters' hunting units not far. Round pen with water trough on property for our horse loving guests.
