1 Aug 2017 Very nice and spacious house
Very kindly people. House is big and clean, with a nice garden. A quiet place Near a small shop for bread but there is also a supermarket in ten minutes by car. Very central place to be. There is also a railway station in the neighborhood to go to Turin or Asti.
3 Jun 2017 Our Piemonte adventure!
We are at the beginning of June for a month's holiday in Piedmont. We could not have been more delighted with the property and live next door. The owners were extremely kind and helpful throughout our stay and we very soon became friends. The accommodation was spacious, immaculately clean and equipped with everything we could possibly need. Gates, plenty of parking and even a large garage. The garden was a delight; we thoroughly enjoyed relaxing in the sun, having a BBQ and looking for shade under the umbrella when necessary! The location of the property was in the middle of the lovely countryside, yet several other restaurants were within easy reach. We could even see the Alps on a particularly clear evening. Italy's best kept secret: surrounded by vineyards, medieval hilltop villages and interesting towns with plenty to offer. Turin, Asti, Alba, Acqui Terme, Bra are all wonderful places to visit and are easily accessible. There is even an amazing Olympic outdoor pool in Asti, which we visited for the day several times. We were very sad to leave the food and wonderful climate
10 Sep 2014 A wonderful Holiday
We had a great stay in the lovely Piedmont. We did relax and also visit the cities close by.
For runners: There are only few cars. I enjoyed running through the countryside.
We were there during Asti's Festival of Festivals in Italian "Festival delle Sagre di Asti". A big food festival. So for food and wine lovers the place to be and go. The accommodation is really comfortable and newly renovated. We did not miss a thing. The owners are really sweet and very helpful people. I know when you have a question about the house or what you can do in the area. They live in the same house. But no worries you have your privacy and it is highly respected.
Many thanks for the nice holiday.

===> Some characteristic EVENTS that take place nearby:
>> PALIO di Asti (third Sunday of September) parade of costumed characters and horse race.
>> ASTI "FESTIVAL DELLE SAGRE" (second weekend of September) where several towns in the Asti area offer their culinary specialties and their best wines to the public and at the same time a suggestive parade of more than 3000 people represents the rural life of one time.
>> Historic "ELOGIO DELLA BIONDA" Piedmontese Fair: In Villanova d'Asti, in the first week of October, the great autumn festival is held dedicated to both the noble chicken with the unmistakable golden plumage and the most genuine traditions of the Monferrato countryside.
The exhibition of the garments from the various farmhouses in the district and the awarding of the best "Gallina bionda" are associated with the display of the stalls of typical products and various musical and theatrical performances dedicated to the rediscovery of the work (GRANOTURCO TREATMENT AND HISTORICAL RESTORATION ) and games of the past.
>> 'INFIORATA': In Villanova d'Asti on the last Sunday of July there will be an exhibition of floral compositions created by "infioratori", willing artists dedicated to the creation of paintings entirely made up of flowers or vegetal particles that are collected throughout the year, dried in the shade and then reduced to powder.
This event remains a rarity present only in a few places, which sees the infioratori engaged on Saturday until late at night.
>> 'MESSER TULIPANO': in the park of the medieval castle of Pralormo, during the whole month of April, the extraordinary flowering of over 75,000 Dutch tulips and narcissuses is announced, announcing spring.
It is always possible to also associate the guided tour of the Castle that is still used as a residence.
>> 'CASTELLI OPEN' review promoted by the Piedmont Region and the provinces of Cuneo, Alessandria and Asti, provides for the opening from May to October of ninety historical houses: from castles to forts, from gardens to museums, from palaces to villas generally privately owned and the visitor can thus access historic houses usually difficult to open to the public.
>> 'MARKET OF ANCIENT AND USED ITEMS'
Many towns host antique markets including:
Asti every 4th Sunday of the month, all day, except August
Moncalieri every 1st Sunday of the month, all day long
