Why Jan Hunter chose Lahaina
Ideally located in the heart of Kaanapali area of beautiful west Maui, you can’t beat this location! Only a few minutes drive south to the famous crystal clear water, white sand Kaanapali Beach, once named America’s Best Beach. Depending on the tide, there can be a beach adjacent to the property. Maui’s best health food store (Farmer’s Market) is conveniently located across the street.
What makes this Condo unique
Our guests have found the convenience, accommodations, and value ranked as the best combination on the island...lake-like calm waters, incredible sunset views over Lanai, & the best stargazing ever! 'Sunsets, turtles, and palm trees beckon a return. This spot is a little slice of heaven on earth and always, I will remember the sea, its lullaby in the evening and its quiet calling, at the dawn of each day!
100% refund if cancelled at least 60 days before arrival date.
Great place to stay!
The beach has eroded quite a bit, but it's a short walk / drive to a lot of great beaches and places to visit. The pools and hot tubs are very nice.
We had a beautiful view of the pool and a nice glimpse of the beach. No complaints here! It was a lovely place to stay.
Thank you so very much we really appreciate you staying with us and we do hope you will come and stay with us again in the near future.

Can’t wait to come back !
Everything was perfect I give it five stars
Wonderful!! Thank you so much. We can't wait for your next stay with us.
Loved the resort but room a bit shabby.
Absolutely love the resort, this is our 3rd visit. First time using VRBO and was a little disappointed. Room was a bit shabby, warn carpet with stains, bathroom must a bit musty and 1 drawer did not open and it had poor lighting. But the bed was extremely comfortable and the room was very clean. Excellent view of the garden, pool and even spotted a whale in the ocean from the balcony.
This is our 3rd visit and we will be back!
We love Kaanapali Shores! The resort is very clean, staff is friendly, pools are perfect. The only negative would be the music selection, listening to classical Hawaiian music is not our thing. This time we used VRBO for our room and it was a little shabby...the bathroom lighting was very poor and there was drawer that would not open and it was very musty smelling, the kitchen had a cupboard door that fell off when you opened it, the carpet is very warn and stained in a few places. But we loved the bed, the kitchen was stocked nicely and it was clean.
Thank you for your constructive feedback. I wish we knew that the kitchen cupboard door was coming off. We would off sent someone out right away to repair. The bathroom drawer doesn't open because it is part of the sink housing the pipes. I will speak to the owners about possible replacing the carpet per your suggestion. We will have them cleaned at the earliest opportunity.
We hope to see you again in the near future.
Fantastic Condo and Resort!!
Stayed for a week while in Maui for a family wedding. We searched all over for a resort style condo that we could afford that would have amenities for the kids. We found it. Our kids are 9 and 12, and we all loved this place. The unit itself was plenty big for the four of us, and having the kitchen really helped being able to eat breakfast or another meal in house, rather than spend big bucks eating out all the time, which we did plenty of! The place could use a walk through for a few missing light bulbs, and some switches that didn't seem to work, but nothing major at all. The four beach chairs and boogie boards were hugely helpful as well. The hotel part of the resort has a free towel service that was also very handy.
The resort has two pools and two hot tubs. The one by the bar is a little more "adult" I guess, but kids welcome at both. Had dinner at the restaurant twice and was great both times. The bar is great too, only wish it was open a little later than 9:30, but that's no big deal. Lots of grassy area to play games with the kiddos, as well as tennis, pickle ball, and shuffleboard gear to borrow free at the desk.
There is no beach per se right at the property, but you can use the sandy area next door at the Beach Club, at least no one told us we couldn't! Great snorkeling is a few minutes away at Airport Beach with free parking. Tons of fish and sea turtles every time we went. The only thing we didn't like really was the parking, the resort charges you $9 a day to park, which seemed like just another way to get a hand in your wallet. Maybe add the parking fee to the room rate, and it would make you feel a little better anyway. Seems a bit ticky tack to charge extra for guest parking. Oh well, you gotta pay to park just about anywhere on the island, why not here I suppose.
In all, we will DEFINITELY be back to this resort, and would stay in Unit 546 for sure again. We had a great time on the island, and we were super happy with our choice to stay here.
There is a Beach Club Restaurant and Bar where you can grab a Mai Tai and a bite to eat to fulfill the Hawaii vacation dream. Make sure you take in the free Hulua show mid week and all the wonderful family activities that the resort offers. Ideally located in the heart of the Honokowai/ North Kaanapali area of beautiful west Maui, you can’t beat this location!
