About this property

Cabin Overlooking the Whitewater Toccoa River

Unique, rustic mountain cabin on the rapid, fish-stocked Toccoa River. Gorgeous mountain views and a serene porch overlooking the river. Path to a great fishing spot just below porches and visible from the porches. Views of the river from every room and wonderful gurgling sounds of the river audible from all bedrooms.

The tin roof provides an awesome experience in rainy or snowy weather. Great close by hiking trails along the Appalachian Trail amongst others and numerous waterfalls in the area. A great place to just relax and rock on the porches after a day of touring the boutiques and antique shops in the neighboring town of Blue Ridge or a train ride through the mountains to and from Tennessee. All this with the modern conveniences of home-satellite TV as well as DVD, VCR,CD player and high speed wifi. A place you never want to leave behind and will want to plan a return trip to our little piece of heaven!

Cabin on the river
The drive to the cabin is STEEP! It was difficult to manipulate. The lock box had to be parted open. There is no central heat, so it was COLD upon arrival. We eventually figured out the individual heaters and it was fine. This is probably a fun family place, but for renters it needs a lot of TLC. Everything was just worn. It was really dusty. The basement and loft steps are steep and narrow. The basement bedroom and bath were fine BUT you had to walk across a ln unheated area to access bath from bedroom. The living area was pretty small. We left a day early simply because we were not comfortable.

Tranquility at its best!
It was a peaceful, rustic cabin, sitting on a tranquil river in the mountains. The cabin itself was clean, very well stocked with everything you need. The driveway was no problem if you follow Kristan’s‘s advice, back down the driveway. We will book again and highly recommend this cabin! Thanks for all your help Kristin!!
