About this property

Mountain Living on the Farm by the Creek with Fishing

Mountain vacation at its best! This large home accommodates a family group or several couples. Enjoy fishing in a stocked stream, goat watching, hiking on the Blue Ridge Parkway only 4 miles away, or relaxing by the fire pit. Golf, waterfalls, quaint mountain towns and tremendous views all within reach. Situated between two lovely mountain towns, Waynesville is 11 miles away and Sylva is 5.

Jackson County is designated as North Carolina's Trout Capital. We have over 3,000 feet of stream access on our farm. Bring your fishing pole or let us recommend a guide option that will outfit you and provide instruction.

There will be some noise. Birds chirping, goats calling, occasional dog barking (we have a mini aussie, Grady, and a great pyrenese who lives with the goats, Rex), tractors, picking trucks for our commercially produced tomatoes and miscellaneous vehicles passing. Welcome to farm life! Make yourself at home roaming around the property.

Weekend getaway!
Our family of 6 and my in-laws had a wonderful time here! My son loves to fish and before we could get all of our luggage in the house he was ready to go down to the stream and wet a line! It was at the end of trout season but he, his grandad, his dad and little sister had the best time trying to catch a fish! The house was great, nice sized bedrooms, living room and kitchen suited us perfectly! The kitchen was well stocked with all you needed to cook any delicious meal! We cooked breakfast every morning and used the grill around back for a meal too! We would have loved to use the fire pit but the weather was a little rainy while we were there. The host was very accommodating and helpful if we had a question about anything we needed!! Thank you for a wonderful stay!!

Very memorable and will be returning for future stays!
Everything about the trip went way better than planned. Kathy and Alan made us feel like family from the moment we made first contact after booking the stay. When we arrived, they showed us around the house and property. Everything was so neat, organized, and inviting! The house was very spacious, well stocked, and extremely clean. They were also very knowledgeable on the surrounding area and all the activities to keep us entertained. Thank you so much for the wonderful holiday!!
