1 bedroom, 1 bath tiny home cottage with views of our granite-lined private lake
About Mike Leamon
Lisa and I escaped the corporate world years ago and first moved into real estate investment. We downsized our home and up-sized the land we live on... purchasing 11 acres with Granite Lake right in the middle. There was so much interest in the tiny homes we put on the land that we became dealers for the high-end builder "Platinum Cottages." We love sharing the lifestyle!

Why Mike Leamon chose Kingsland
Its unanimous. Every traveler and explorer who has seen Granite Lake has the same response. WOW! The way that the granite comes right out of the water and attracts all the abundant wildlife is one-of-a-kind. There is a trail around the perimeter of the lake. Many people spend hours hanging out in the granite boulders, fishing, swimming or just enjoying the wildlife.
What makes this Cottage unique
The cottage you will be renting isn't the typical tiny home you see on TV. These are larger and not on wheels. They are simply little well-built cottages. We spared no expense setting them up for friends and family and you... our vacation rental guests. The Tumbleweed features warmer earth-tone colors and western-style decorations. At 15 feet wide, it feels more roomy to many visitors and has a little bit better positioning to view the lake.

We had a wonderful time and the property is beautiful. Definitely bookmarking this one as a future possibility again

The only complaint I have is that I wish we could have stayed longer. We had 7 days for this getaway, and unfortunately only 3 of our days were available for this beautiful property. This awesome place was half the size of the property we had stayed at the first 4 days of our vacation, but It had twice the comfort and fun. Mike and Lisa were the best Hosts we could have asked for. My wife and I are so sold on the tiny home experience that as soon as I get closer to retirement, it is the first thing on my to buy list. I am an outdoorsy person, my wife, not so much, but we both enjoyed the breath-taking views of the lake and surrounding landscape. The grounds are so well manicured and peaceful that we will never forget it. My wife loves photo opportunities for sunsets and rises, and you couldn't ask for a better view from our front porch. The lake is about 4 acres in size, but I was amazed at the size of the bass and catfish I caught. We had seen HGTV episodes on tiny homes, but once you are inside you forget that it is supposed to be small. It had a queen size bed, full size kitchen, bath and plenty of living and storage space. I can’t wait to go back. Be sure to visit Sarah's Cookie Jar, it is a fantastic bakery. The town of Kingsland is so clean and friendly that we may even consider moving there some day. Thank you, Mike and Lisa, we will definitely be back. God Bless. .
Wow Ron! Thank you so much for the amazing review. You should be a travel writer! We are SO glad you had a great time.

A True Texas Gem
My fiance and I visited the Tumbleweed at Granite Lake on the last weekend of March. The view was breathtaking, the home was tastefully appointed, clean, and exceptionally comfortable. Mike made himself available and checked in to make sure that we had everything we needed - he and his wife keep a very tidy property, and beyond initial check-in questions, were respectful of our privacy, which is not always the case on shared properties. If you visit in the start of Spring, you'll be blown away by the Texas wildflowers. We were greeted each morning to a front-row view of the lake, with a telescope that allowed us to see the birds and wildlife. It's located conveniently near a gas station and grocery, and a 15 minute drive to Marble Falls, and a state park, and about 20 minutes from Hidden Falls Adventure Park, where we took our Jeep for some trail riding. Would absolutely recommend and stay again!
