Managers very helpful
We had a blast and was GREATFUL for the property we rented.
You can tell the condo is under going some renovations but the owner is fabulous and the property is great . Enough room for 2 of us . The gym came in handy and so did the laundry . Good location within walking distance to downtown. We did it I'm sure anyone else can beach is nice and patio and pool were great.
Great stay in Daytona Beach at John's ocean view condo.
I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at in Daytona Beach. John's condo was everything he had about the condo on VRBO but his understanding and personal touch helped me throughout my stay. I would recommend his place to others who visit Daytona Beach. Thanks John.
Loved in Daytona
Had slight hiccup with our first condo but VRBO was very helpful they got us into another condo, Daytona international speedway was awesome
Not What I Expected
I was really looking forward to staying in Daytona Beach and by the ocean. This place was not exactly what I expected and I would not stay here again. I hate to give a poor review but I depend on other reviews when I am booking a place.
The pros of this VRBO were: I had great communication from the owner, it was a good price, the internet and TV worked great, the towels were ample and fluffy, the view was exactly like the picture with a beautiful sunrise on the deck, and my deposit was returned quickly.
The cons of this VRBO is that it is run down. The bathroom needs a lot of updating. The ceiling has obviously had some issues in the past and painted over, the bathroom smelled like sewer, and it is in need of a deep clean. The rest of the place needed a deep clean as well. You can see the dirt and dust bunnies along the edges of the room. The seal around the refrigerator looked like it had black mold around it and needs to be cleaned.
I do need to note that I did not contact the owner about any of this during our stay therefore, not giving him a chance to correct the items that he could. There were some items that could not be easily fixed.
This place is for sale so I am not sure what improvements would be made in the future.
There is no check in but I offer all of my guests to allow me to walk them around the unit and property when they arrive. I am on property more than 6 months a year. When I am not here another owner oversees my properties.
This building was built around 1970 and had some damage from the hurricanes the last 2 years. I'm on the budget committee, the association is aware of issues relating to past leaks. As insurance money comes in these issues are being addressed.
It is true that this unit is for sale. It was sold in Nov., 2018 but the buyer decided not to proceed. This unit had a long term renter until May of 2018. Since then I have been adding to it and bringing it up to date as a short term rental. I stay in the unit when my others are occupied. The bed is new in Jan., 2019. The unit was painted last year. Also new is the patio furniture and twin sleeper and tv and some of the appliances in the kitchen. My next is to replace the refrigerator, the area around the seal is rust I can't get to come off. Then the bath fixtures after the association replaces the drywall. I have hired a new cleaning person who lives on property and can address any cleaning problems a guest may have.
