Early May stay
This is a convenient spot if you have family or business in the area. There is an Aldi and Target within walking distance and a nice deli 2 blocks away. Tara is a very helpful manager. Parking is free on the street, but can be difficult to find. If Kenmore St is full, look on Montrose, a couple blocks away.
We had a great time!
Loved the location, we walked everywhere from here! Came to town for a Cubs game and they won so extra fun! We went to dinner at Michael's Pizza and the dip dish had really good marinara sauce. Then for breakfast you have to try Tweet's! The food was amazing and the bloody mary's were the bomb! The unit was clean and had everything we needed for trip. Thanks for having us!
Easy access to transportation and very clean
Clean Property, but Dissappointed
My wife and I needed a place to stay while in Chicago waiting for our daughter that lives in Chicago to give birth to a grandchild. The Wrigley Retreat fit the requirement for a place to sleep as we stayed with our daughter during the day. Each night, however, was chilly in the place, and made it rather uncomfortable each night. Apparently the entire building is heated centrally, and during our stay mid October, with the weather ranging from the high 30's to the low 50's. Consequently the place was very cool, with no way to warm it up. Had to use all the blankets for TV watching each night. Street parking was free but definitely not always available. Had to park a couple of blocks away a couple of the nights since we didn't get there until around 8PM each night.
Upon checking out, we were informed that a cutting board was missing. Since we made no meals or ate there, we never used any kitchen items and never knew there was a cutting board there, and upon checkout, we were informed that the board was missing. This was a deduction from our deposit.
We were told that deducting the cost of the board was per VRBO policy. So, if you stay there insist on a written inventory in more detail than what is on the VRBO website so you can know what exactly you are responsible for.
Unfortunately we were not informed until after their stay that they were "cold". These GUESTS LEFT BATHROOM WINDOW OPEN when it was 40°F out! Only guests who stayed and actually left the place a mess, took a cutting board, and bleached the sheets!

I liked the area the unit was in and the neighborhood was walkable to restaurants, bars, wrigley field, and target. This was my first time in Chicago and this apartment was a comfortable place to stay
Very clean and comfortable !!
It was great for us! Comfortable first floor space....we walked to Wrigley and parked our car on a safe street in front of rental. Walked for breakfast and used uber app to get to Michigan ave...enjoyed our stay and enjoyed Chicago!!!
