About this property

River front home, walkable to Hot Springs Spa & downtown - Red Bridge Cottage

Come relax in the mountains at the Red Bridge Cottage. This charming 1930's river rock home is in the heart of Hot Springs! Walk out the front door, and you'll be right across the street from the famous natural Hot Springs Spa that gives the town its namesake. Take a few steps in the other direction and you're in the quaint downtown. Walk a little further to the campground, and if you're lucky, you'll catch one of the many fun festivals. Cross the bridge and go for a hike on Lovers Leap trail or the Appalachian Trail which runs right through downtown. Or maybe you walked out the back door, and you found a huge back yard, whimsical patio, and a fire pit right on Spring Creek.

RELAX, FISH, PLAY, SIP, EAT, AND SLEEP TO THE RIPPLING OF SPRING CREEK IN THE BACKYARD!

You really can park the car for your entire vacation if you like! Yet, a short car ride away opens you to all kinds of adventure: hiking, white water rafting, kayaking, tubing, fishing, zip-lining, horseback trail rides, cycling ( road and mountain) and motorcycling.

Really enjoyed our stay!
This is really nice, comfortable property. We walked to everything - including the Appalachian Trail and the Hot Springs. We couldn't get the fireplaces to work, and it would have been nice to have a pizza cutter. And these things didn't impact our enjoyment for our stay.

WOW - A Perfect Hot Springs Vacation Spot!
We had the best time staying here for our weekend in Hot Springs. The lovely cottage has clearly been cared for dearly -- we loved the location and felt right at home. The owners had so many personal touches. We loved the bookshelf full of games, cards, and books. We can't wait to come back for our next trip!

Wedding Guest approved
Overall, the place was perfect for two couples staying two nights for a wedding at Paint Rock Farm. The welcome party was a step away at Big Pillow Brewing - touted by a friend as being his favorite stop on the Appalachian Trail. The wedding hosts had a shuttle pick us up there for the wedding. The house is spacious - could easily have had two- three more people stay. Kitchen seemed more than adequate, but we ate out. Things to note: Quietest town after 10pm I have stayed in…except for the train right outside the window that blew its whistle in the middle of Friday night. Not Saturday. One bathroom is downstairs and a bit of a hike from the two upstairs bathroom. Since we were two couples staying in the two bedrooms, we opted to take showers in the two separate bathrooms. Also a strange step down and then up to the upstairs bathroom from one bedroom requiring extra care. Overall, a great place to stay. Could easily make a lovely week vacation.
