About this property

Silver Lake is a premier lake in West Michigan, only 5 miles from Rockford and 16 miles from downtown Grand Rapids. The cottage has had numerous recent upgrades and newer furniture. The property has a sandy bottom beach that is great for swimming and water activites. A new and very nice 2021 pontoon boat with a 60 hp engine is available for rent. I also have another property on the lake 12 houses away that is on VRBO #710565.

The cottage has about 1200 square feet with 3 bedrooms, two on the 2nd floor and a bedroom on the main. 2 full baths, one with a shower and 2 sinks that was completely remodeled in 2019 and the other with a tub/shower. It has a large updated kitchen, dinning area and two 9 foot sliders overlooking the lake. The cottage has newer furniture and beds/mattresses with high quality sheets and amenities.

The outside has a huge deck over looking with water with only 5 steps down to the grass/beach and a large brick outdoor fireplace with Adirondack chairs for relaxing around a fire. There is also a 100 foot dock with a swim ladder at the end. 2 kayaks, 2 stand up paddle boards, and a paddle boat with life jackets are provided. A new 2021 20 foot pontoon boat with a 60 hp engine is available for rent with a capacity of 10 people. The can be reserved by either of my properties on the lake. The rate depends on the time of year. Please inquire about pricing.

Silver Lake is an all sports lake with 225 acres that is in the top 5% for water clarity of lake in Michigan. The home faces South and offers lots of sunshine and places for shade when desired.

There are numerous recreational activities in the area, including parks, bike/hiking trails, and skiing. A variety of shops and restaurants are located within 1-5 miles.

This is the 2nd property that I have available on the lake. If the dates are not available that you desire, please inquire about the other property. This Property might be available as a 6 month rental in the winter. Please inquire.

Family and Fishing

I came here with my family to visit some other family that we have in Michigan. And my daughter Emilyhanzlikoutdoors came up here to catch some fish for a tournament that she is in. We had a great time at Silver Lake.

Relaxation

Property was exactly as described on listing. Brian was an attentive host. Available for any and all questions. Any items needed were easy to find due to labeling on all cabinets and drawers. Paddle boat, kayaks, paddle boards, and pontoon boat made an enjoyable/fun time on the water. Thank you Brian!

I have another home on the same lake that has been a vacation rental for the past 5 years and another vacation rental on the Oregon coast, plus a 36 foot Grand Banks that is available for recreational charters captained by myself on the Columbia River. World traveler to over 40 countries and all 50 states. Enjoy visiting other VRBO properties. My mother and I are partners on this property.

Why they chose this property

One of the best lakes in West Michigan and close to Rockford and Grand Rapids. The house has everything you need, new furniture, large decks, and wonderful sandy waterfront. Has the feel of a property up North but close to everything you need. Also rare to find a property that has a pontoon boat available to rent.
