The bright living room has a comfortable living/TV area and a nice dining area with oval wooden table which easily accommodate 6 people, lighted by a valuable ceiling light made from Murano glass, which completes the modern furnishing with careful attention to the tradition and style of the lagoon city.

Why Andrew chose San Marco

It was my personal apart in Venice.

When, for logistic reasons, I decided to move to Padova (30 Km from Venice) I was not sure you wish to rent my apart for touristic purposes, it is a unique apart and unique location. Finally, after a complete maintenance and re-furniture, I decided to rent it and let guests enjoy this perfect accommodation.

What makes this apartment unique

If you'll be accommodated in Altana Terrace you'll be in the hearth of Venice, you'll have everything around you (shops, restaurants, must see places, etc.) and you'll not waste your time for long transfers. The 360° panoramic wooden terrace let u have a unique (I would never stop to repeat it, unique) view over the whole Town. People would pay just to have the possibility to visit it.

We had a great time in Venice. Most of the merit was our accomodation, simply great. A beautiful apart just behind Saint-Mark square, incredibly quiet (and charming) corner. Generous size, large fully equipped kitchen (important to prepare every meal), perfect living and bright large bedrooms. Exquisite furnitures, extremely comfortable mattresses, parquet floors everywhere, strong Wi-Fi Internet and charming views from every single window. By the way the best is “over the top”: a really stunning panoramic view wooden terrace with its table and seats. What u see from there is the whole Venice, its main points, as churches and towers, starting from the close Saint-Mark Belltower, Cathedral and Palazo Ducale, and its shape and conformation. No guide tours, no waterbus tours nor walkings gave us such a deep and full overview

of this spectacular Town. Because of its terrace (magnificent), its position (perfect), its features (exquisite), we strongly recommend this apart to all those looking for a special accomodation in Venice.

Great Location, Beautiful Place !!

Our group of 5 arrived late on a Sunday evening, and were greeted kindly by Benedetto, who not only graciously showed us all around the apartment and did a great job with our check-in, but even helped us with our luggage up the stairs!! The terrace view on top of the apartment is one just a few in Venice, making it a rare charm. The location of the apartment is quite good, with a nice Cafe/Coffee Shop literally in the first floor of the same building, as well as restaurants, pizza places, and shops nearby, and only a few blocks from the St Mark's Square. Security is good in the building, with a strong front door and beefy lock on the apartment door, and a secure entry way and locked street access door. There are a number of stairs to climb to arrive at the top of the building, but it also provides a very quiet location. Thanks so much for making our stay in Venice so enjoyable.

Delightful Venetian apartment

A wonderfully positioned property. Comfortable, well equipped and spotlessly clean. Water taxi dropped us off and within two minutes Mathilde met us and took us straight to the apartment. Both Mathilde and Roberto were enormously helpful, as was Andrea with our booking and arrangements. Good suggestions, advice and help when we could not light the gas cooker! Poor Roberto ran to the flat to assist as soon as I phoned. The view from the roof top terrace is truly spectacular. You feel you could almost reach out and touch St Mark's Basilica and the Campanile. The only problem we encountered (we being 3 women on the wrong side of 60) was the 3 flights of stairs with luggage. Other than that our stay was just superb. Il nostro soggiorno era semplicemente stupenda!

First time in Venice with my family (my 4th time), 2 adults 3 childs. Looking for something special, found this beautiful apart. It is same distance from Rialto’s and Saint-Mark’s vaporetto, just 3 min.

We easily met the person at Saint-Mark’s stop and we walked to the apart.

The apart is finely furnished, large, comfortable, completely new.

The kitchen is large, with oven, micro, coffee machine and a nice glass table (it is a large kitchen

perfect for cookings!), the living is super with view over a beautiful courtyard (they explaned us it is one of the most beautiful XVI Cent. Venetian courtyards but I don’t remember the name). Wow view from every window.

It would be enough to say WOW, but the terrace absolutely overtook our expectances.

It is a large wooden terrace with a panoramic view over all Venice.

The position of the building is just behind Saint-Mark square, really quiet area, and the view from the terrace is just superb.

There is also a large table with chairs and sun-shelter, we had all our lunches and overall dinners there.

I think this has been the “cherry on the pie”, our choice then stay couldn’t be better!

Apart’s Owner and also on-site manager Roberto have been really helpful and kind.

No problems with the apart, no delays, no lacks.

Warmly suggested to everybody looking for something really special.

We will surely come again.

Fully correspondent to our expectances

After a quick search, a complete brochure and a nice deal with the Owner our expectances were really high. A refined apart with rooftop panoramic terrace few steps from the Saint-Markwas a dream for my wife ans sons, I was courious too.

We have been met at Rialto’s waterbus stop, just 3 min walk and we got in the apart.

The apart itself is finely furnished and really fully equipped (my wife told me that our kitchen in Oslo had to be as the one of this apart!), large, perfectly maintained, new furniture.

The terrace, well, it is fantastic. We never saw Venice in a such fascinting perspective.

It is fully equipped: we did not have the chance to have our meals there but we spent lot of time on it

admiring the Panorama.

The apart is just few steps from the Saint-Mark, hidden corner, no massive tourism direction, really comfortable for sight-seeing (we saw all the main venetian places in just 3 days!).

It is bright, extremely quiet and window’s views are fascinating too. Finally we can say this apart perfectly correspond to what is promised and our “high” expectances have been overtaken.

Definitley recommended.

Displayed prices are just indicatory (in fact u receive an "estimated amount" not a precise quote).
This is due to the fact that aparts nightly price, overall in such a small and full of events Town as Venice,
is strongly affected by many variables and we cannot set all of them in the website PriceList (it is not even expected).
Ex. prices strongly depend on Tenancy: aparts have high fix costs that's why shorter is Tenancy higher must be price.
We cannot set this variable in the website Pricelist so we set an average price based on 5 nights stay.
Another example: price strongly depend on specific year's period. In fact Venice usually host many events affecting
demand then price (ex. Biennale 2 nights beginning, Vogalonga regatta and many others).
Again, we cannot set all these events/prices in the Pricelist.
This si why website cannot give u a precise device but just an estimated/indicatory amount.
For a correct quotation, taking in account all the variables I wrote above, u would have to Ask
to the Owner (he will also supply u with many additional infos and a full brochure of the apart).
