The Cheticamp Island Blue House looks over the fishing village of Cheticamp, just off the Cabot Trail. Cheticamp is the western entrance to the spectacular Highlands National Park, and is the heart of Acadian culture on Cape Breton. The Island, connected to the mainland by a causeway and beach, offers quiet privacy yet also easy access to the many restaurants, shops, local music and whale watching tours in town. Visit the Park Headquarters to learn of the many hiking trails in the Park or explore the paths on the island. Walk to to the cliffs on the Gulf of St Lawrence, to the lighthouse, or to the long warm-water sand beach. Watch whales feeding off the point, row across the harbour to town for lunch, and come home to enjoy the view. In the evening enjoy live music in Cheticamp, or find a ceidligh in Mabou or Inverness. Numerous whale watching cruises head out from Cheticamp and nearby Pleasant Bay. And a day's drive around the Park on Cabot Trail will take you through Pleasant Bay, Ingonish, Baddeck, and back through the Margaree Valley.
Other Activities: whale watching
Golf: A fine Golf course with views of the Highlands located 10 minutes a way

What makes this House unique
There is nothing like sleeping on a quiet island....all the advantages to being near the beach, the Park and the town, yet far away from everything. This original Acadian farmhouse with wide views of the mountains and harbour is a cozy home. You can have it all!
