The cottage is cozy, cute, and functional. My boys loved sleeping in a loft! The location was great, and any questions were answered promptly by the hosts. The outdoor play equipment is an extra bonus for families with kids, and the privacy of the cottage is very nice. The next time we're in the area for a hiking trip we will return!
Wonderful Cozy Stay Experiencing the Beauty of Brevard
My wife and I wanted a get-a-way to mountain bike in Dupont State Park and to experience the fullness of Brevard. Thus, we wanted a comfortable, cozy, convenient place. The La Casita Cottage was perfect for us. Like most locations in and near Brevard, the beauty of the mountains is ever present. Cindy and Robert have made the grounds so very interesting and beautiful. The cottage was truly amazing. Very, very clean and comfortable. The cottage had everything that we needed.
Perfect lodging for a couple or small family. Just about 5 minutes from downtown Brevard, which is full of great restaurants and shops, and about 20 minutes for some of the most beautiful hiking/biking trails in Appalachia. I highly commend the La Casita Cottage.
Our overall stay at the property was good. The cabin was very clean and very nice. We have stayed in other cabins before and some were not nearly as clean and updated as this cabin was. We also loved the play area for our daughter. We were a little disappointed to find out that the only television service we had was streaming when in the description it showed dish TV. The TV in the bedroom had a dish network hopper, but it did not work and because the hopper would not connect, the broadband would not connect and we could not even use the TV to watch Netflix or stream on. We were staying with our two-year-old and were stuck watching cartoons the entire stay on the one working TV. It would have also been nice to have a little welcome document providing some information for our stay. Maybe a document explaining how to use the appliances (heater) or TV/streaming. We normally do not stream and it took us a little time to figure out how to use the remote that was provided. We also didn’t know what to do when we checked out as far as where to put the trash or our dirty towels. A lot of places will provide some check out notes so we make sure we cover all of our bases. Those are just a few suggestions that may help the next guests in the future.

2. User's manual for cottage appliances: the items mentioned are fairly standard... if you have a question... call, text, email, or catch us on the property while you are here.
3. TV: we do not know if travelers are having technical difficulties unless they call, text, email or catch us on the property.
It is unfortunate that you had these challenges while you were here. Our never ending effort is to provide the best get away experience for our travelers and realize that challenges may arise while they are here. We also hope that if travelers experience challenges they take the iniative to call, text, email or catch us on the property while they are experiencing the challenges.

The inside of this cabin was really very nicely done and comfortable. The water for the shower did not get hot though, only warm. I would have mentioned it to the owner but we were called away and ended up leaving after one night. Unfortunately, we still had to pay full price for 3 nights. The outside of the cabin could use some lighting, as it was difficult to see the walkway when coming in after dark.
