My boyfriend and I just stayed in this cottage for a long weekend away from it all. The cottage is beautiful-- you can tell that a lot of time and caring was put into the beautiful craftsmanship throughout. Pamela and Kevin were very welcoming when we arrived and let us come and go as we pleased. The location is very rural and we were glad we had our Explorer -- 4 wheel drive is needed. On the way to the cottage you drive through 3 covered bridges-- we thought this was pretty cool. This cottage is a short drive to the attractions in Montpelier, Waterbury, Stowe, Mad River Glen and Sugarbush. We would love to come back in the summer or fall to go hiking and biking. This cottage was well worth our money and the drive!
Cozy Cottage. Perfect for a ski weekend for a family of four (2 boys, ages 5 and 9). Clean and comfortable, with everything you need. Great hosts, incredibly responsive and friendly. Short trek to Mad River Glen and Sugarbush, as well as amenities in Waterbury, Waitsfield and Warren. We'll be back!
Loved the cosy gas fireplace and artistic details of cabin. Owners checked on us to make sure we had what we needed and respected our privacy. The cabin is close to Montpelier and Northfield. A beautiful brook with cascading falls runs along the road to the cabin.
Every last detail of this stay was perfect for us. From the ease of communication, to our hosts' kindness, the amazing surrounding environment with trickling creek heard from the cabin, to the gorgeous woodwork and thoughtful building of the cabin. It had a charm that we have come to love about Vermont. It was clean, nature-filled, quiet, serene, with beautifully landscaped and kept grounds and home. It felt like home to us. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook yummy meals with local farm food! Our daughter loved the apple trees and the freedom to roam the hills, we enjoyed watching stars from the comfy seats outside, and the ease of getting around to some fun waterholes and canoe spots. The general store has GREAT food and baked goods!! So good!! Thank you! Wonderful stay and we will be back!
We stayed 3 nights and absolutely loved the property. It was a wonderful vacation and if ever back in Vermont would certainly look to book again. Cathy Goycoolea
We had a wonderful time at this guest cottage. The cottage was cozy, but had everything we needed. Pamela and Kevin were warm and welcoming, but also gave us our space. We spent a leisurely afternoon laying on the grass on the lawn - reading, napping, and chasing the shade. We went into Montpelier for some delicious meals and even found a nearby winery. Altogether, the vacation was perfect and we hope to make it back up there again.
