Conveniently located in the Lower Mission district, Playa del Sol is bang in the middle of a recreational lakeside paradise with plenty of restaurants, cafes and shops nearby.

This family friendly resort is literally across the road from Okanagan Lake and a short walking distance to the popular Gyro and Rotary Beaches. Situated steps from the famous El Dorado Hotel and Manteo Resort, Playa del Sol is minutes away from a wide range of activities and attractions such as award winning wineries, first class golf courses, biking & hiking trials, boating & water sports, museums & art galleries, festivals & farmer’s markets, and pristine fruit orchards.
We welcome you to come and stay at our little piece of paradise and consider Suite 370 your home while you’re away. It is one of a handful of condos located away from the resort’s main apartment style building and is accessed through a secluded landscaped mezzanine with your own walk-out entrance conveniently located on pool level.

Our 2 bedroom, 1 bathroom vacation home offers a unique feature of not only one but two private outdoor spaces. Picture yourself at day’s end, on the quiet creekside balcony enjoying a glass of Okanagan wine or relaxing in the front courtyard while the kids run and play or go for one last dip in the pool before you fire up the BBQ.

Designed with leisure and comfort in mind, Playa del Sol Resort offers secure underground parking, central air conditioning, a swimming pool, hot tub and fitness facility as well as in-house restaurant and coffee shop.

We love it from the moment we walked in! Our favourite spot was sitting on the balcony overlooking the creek, enjoying the wildlife such as deer, ducks, woodpeckers and bats, the children loved this. The location was perfect, merely a 5 minute walk from the beach. The owners go out of their way to make you feel welcome with wine, chocolate, coffee and my favourite item was a puzzle, something to do when it was a little too hot out! I would definitely recommend it to everyone! Thank you for a beautiful stay!

Our family had a celebration of life for our parents and the stay was perfect. A pool, close to the beach and rental of water toys, restaurants and common areas for a family potluck dinner. A great holiday

Nice condo close to the lake
This is a nice unit especially if you have kids. The condo was well equipped with everything we needed to cook in the kitchen. The beds were VERY comfortable and the A/C was great to have in the hot weather. Black out blinds great for sleeping. The pool deck was great and the 4ft deep pool good for kids. The keyless entry locks made it easy for the kids to get in and out. The area of town is lovely & walking distance to two beaches & some restaurants.

Okanagan Break
A very large building with little done to keep outside areas clean. Cobwebs, leaves, and litter everywhere including cigarette butts in this "nonsmoking" building. The "welcome book" in the suite is inaccurate, there is no landline phone to allow guests to access the building remotely and the games room advertised in the book is off limits to renters and has been since the beginning of the pandemic for "safety reasons" but the exercise room is open to anyone. Surely a contradiction. The suite is not suitable for anyone with mobility issues as there are 10" steps down from the front door and balcony. The counters and a small glass-topped table were dirty and there was thick dust on some surfaces. Not been dusted for a long while. Lighting in the kitchen is poor, no light under the microwave oven making it hard to see pans on the stovetop. We had to wipe round in the kitchen and sweep the balcony as soon as we got there to make it inhabitable. Not impressed with Maids Gone Green. Gone missing is more accurate. Only 5 coffee mugs in a suite claiming to house 6, but enough glasses to open a bar.

Just a little about us. Maciej and I and our two amazing children are from beautiful BC currently living in the Lower Mainland. Maciej grew up on the Sunshine Coast and I grew up in just outside of Vancouver in a suburb called Coquitlam.

We’ve been visiting Kelowna for many years as the heat and dry weather is a welcome change when living near the coast. Over the years, we have fallen in love with the city and all it has to offer. Let’s face it, Kelowna is remarkably beautiful. You can’t go wrong when you are surrounded by vineyards, orchards, farmer’s markets and golf courses! Who wouldn’t want to own a little piece of this lakeside paradise. So, when an opportunity presented itself to own a rental property in 2018 we jumped at it!

Why they chose this property

What really appealed to us about this property in particular was its location. Within walking distance of the lake, the marinas, restaurants and shops as well as walking/biking trails. What attracted us to suite 370 itself, was its unique features offering a private entrance away from the main building and its two outdoor spaces.

Located on the south side of Kelowna, the Lower Mission is conveniently near the lake, downtown, and all that Kelowna has to offer.

Beautiful public beaches and lake access points, the H20 aquatic and fitness centre, and the CNC recreation centre make this neighbourhood highly sought-after for families. Lakefront resorts and marinas, magnificent walking and hiking trails (including the Mission Creek Greenway), and world-class wineries attract active individuals and those who really want to pursue the Okanagan lifestyle.

What makes this property unique

For us, being located away from the general apartment style condominium is a huge benefit. Our creekside entrance walks out on to a landscaped mezzanine which provides a private and quiet environment. We also enjoy that our suite is on the same level as the pool, hot tub and fitness centre so they are all easily accessible.

Another benefit that attracted us to suite 370 are the two outdoor spaces. You can fire up the BBQ on the back balcony overlooking the creek, or relax in the front courtyard with a view of the landscaped mezzanine and let the kids run around and play.

Our 2 bedroom, 1 bathroom open concept suite provides a wonderful space for relaxed family living during your Kelowna holiday. The living room opens onto a quiet back balcony with views of the creek and comes fully equipped with a flat screen TV, HD Cable package, Blue Ray/DVD Player (with Netflix capability), free wireless High Speed Internet access and a Bluetooth Audio System that you can connect to any mobile device like a laptop, tablet or phone. Plus a 7 port USB charging station to keep your devices all charged up.
