About this property

This cabin has a fantastic view of the Smoky Mountain National Park during any season. A large deck with a four-person hot tub is there to help you relax after a fun-filled day in the Smoky Mountains. . First bath has a walk-in shower and vanity. Second bath has a whirlpool bathtub and combo shower with a vanity.We also have free wireless WiFi Internet service. A gas fireplace is available Sept. 1st thru May 1st.

The cabin is a eight-sided octagon with panoramic views from living room and kitchen. The cabin has its own private paved driveway with parking available for two cars. The cabin has been landscaped with mountain rhododendron and several dogwood trees. All roads leading to cabin are paved. The stars are incredibly bright at night and there are no distracting street lights. Relax in the hot tub and enjoy the great star show.

View from the couch

Very strategically located. You could bypass Gatlinburg completely by going Rt out of subdivision instead of Lt. If you did go Lf you could go to the grocery store without getting into traffic, or go a little further and come out right at the edge of town at a big parking garage. You could also get to the Alamo Steak House without getting into traffic. Where they have a 1lb hamburger and fries for $19 dollars. The pinnacle of the whole trip was just sitting on the living room couch looking at the wonderful view of the mtns from the couch. The view is really great. We will definitely be back,

Great location, breathtaking view and comfy cabin.

We recently spent a week at Wa ta vu and it was absolutely incredible! The cabin itself was cozy and well-appointed, with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The surroundings were breathtakingly beautiful, with stunning views of the surrounding mountains and forest. The hot tub and fireplace was a highlight, and we spent many relaxing evenings in the hot tub and snuggled up by the fire. The location was perfect for exploring the area, with plenty of hiking trails and attractions nearby. But honestly, we were so comfortable and happy at the cabin that we didn't want to leave! The owners were friendly and helpful, and went above and beyond to make our stay special. We can't wait to come back and stay again. 5 stars isn't enough - this place is truly exceptional!

Wa-Ta-Vu

We had a great time visiting Gatlinburg with lots of time spent at the Great Smoky Mountains, in town enjoying the shops, and Anakeesta! Our time at Bob and Carols cabin was very relaxing with many hours in the hot tub. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a great “home away from home.”

Wonderful!

My partner and I were looking for a quiet place to relax and celebrate both our anniversary and his recent graduation, and this cabin was the perfect fit for us. The property is close to other cabins, but not too close. The roads leading to it are paved and easy to navigate. If you’re looking to do the more touristy activities Gatlinburg offers, this cabin is only a short drive from all the action, but we wanted privacy and peace and quiet, and that was what we got. It was just the two of us staying there, but this place could comfortably accommodate 4 adults. Of the two bedrooms, the one we chose had an exterior door to the hot tub and was attached to the bathroom, so coming in and drying off from the hot tub was a breeze. The kitchen is well stocked with utensils, though if you plan to cook like we did, you might want to bring some tupperware if you have leftovers. The living room is spacious and the couches comfortable. The gas fireplace is wonderful if you’re here during the cooler seasons! Everything was clean and well maintained. The hosts have left thorough instructions on where things are located, how to operate the TVs and other amenities, and recommendations for their favorite places in the surrounding area. We felt right at home here. Thanks for having us!

Great place

Loved the cabin and owners! They communicate very well and have very helpful instruction on everything. Views are amazing as is the location! Would stay again!

We are the Howards, welcome to our cabin Wa-Ta-Vu. We purchased it in July 2007. We have remodeled every room and have decorated it with pictures from local Gatlinburg artists. There are many old pictures of Gatlinburg taken in the 50's. We are constantly working on more changes to the cabin. We are do-it-yourself types and enjoy working on it. Thanks for visiting!! What makes this property unique

The main things we enjoy at the cabin is the peace and solitude. The view is spectacular of Mount Leconte. In the winter with binoculars you can see the lodge on Mount Leconte. We also enjoy sitting in the hottub and just looking at the mountains.
