We stayed at Angler's Hideaway for 4 days and loved it!
The place was clean and comfortable, the property is beautiful. It's a very short walk along the creek to the Hiwassee River. Reliance is a relaxed little village and we enjoyed walking around. Part of the appeal of this property is it's proximity to so many outdoor activities. We drove 25 minutes to the Ocoee to whitewater raft, about 15 minutes to Starr Mountain for some hiking and climbing routes, and on our next visit we hope to schedule a float on the Hiwassee, just a few minutes walk down the road.
The hosts were easy to communicate with and very friendly. But note, there is no cell reception in the area. There is a land line for phone calls, but no wifi. Flip Flop up the street may have wifi, and Verizon phones an get a weak signal near the restaurant if you need it. None of this was an inconvenience for our group, we made it a point to limit our contact with family and friends once a day.

Reliance is in the Cherokee National Forest. The area has world class rafting at the Ocoee and world class fly fishing on the Hiwassee River (where cabin is located), and Telico River. There is a winery about twenty minutes away, and a scenic drive on the Cherohala parkway, great for site seeing in the fall and taking motorcycle trips year around. The woods are thick, rivers are wide, and the roads are curvy, just what you're looking for...
