Very disappointing and overpriced
We stayed at this property for just over a week and it was just full of problems, which did really spoil our holiday. We were expecting something amazing considering the price and unfortunately I think the owners are resting on their laurels as it was not up to the standard you would expect for the price they charge.
We had constant problems with the swimming pool being cloudy with yellow staining and it was never properly cleaned. At one point there was no chlorine in it. Almost every day the owners had to come and address this, blaming it on the wind! It was just lazy maintenance and meant that on certain days we could not use the pool because of the chlorine levels being too low.
The house is not as described in the advertisement. This is the owners home which they rent out from time to time, it is full of their personal effects, fridge full of food, personal belongings upstairs and one of the bedrooms is not a double but has a huge triple bunk in it. The house is quite tired, with poor equipment in the kitchen.
The place was infested with mosquitoes and ants and we had to spend 45 euros to get the sprays to deal with this problem.
The toilets were really dirty on arrival with faeces on the seat. I had to clean them after a long journey.
We are seasoned travellers to France and this was our most disappointing holiday rental to date.
The owners are quite pleasant until you mention the problems.The location is lovely and the house has good air conditioning.
