About this property

This one/two bedroom fully equipped Air Conditioned apartment for the over 50's is situated right on the beach offering fantastic views of the Mediterranean. It has everything for a tranquil and comfortable stay while you enjoy all that Gibraltar has to offer. Sleeps 4. Please note: The apartment is in a retirement complex strictly for those aged 50 or over and is NOT suitable for children.

The apartment is on a lower ground floor but can be accessed via a lift. Immediately below is the glorious beach of Sandy Bay. From the apartment you can see the beautiful Mediterranean Sea, Spain and in the distance the coast of North Africa. There is a balcony where you can sit and enjoy the wonderful views. In the evening sit with a nice chilled glass of wine whilst listening to the waves gently lapping at your feet, a wonderful way to end the day. Truly this is the best of Both Worlds. This apartment is our second/holiday home so you will find it is kept to a very high standard and a real home from home. The apartment is fully furnished including Smart TV with satellite channels and WIFI internet access. The large leather sofa converts to a bed in one easy movement, it simply rolls out, and has a proper frame and mattress. You can also access all the amenities available in the complex including the Gymnasium, Billiards/Games Room, Laundry and communal Lounge/Library.

Sandy Bay is a natural sun trap with golden sands a clear waters.

There is a shuttle bus service into town that stops right outside the door, (the journey is about 10 minutes) and a few minutes walk down the road is the 5 Star Caleta Hotel at Catalan Bay where you can enjoy the luxury services they have on offer including a Wellness Centre with a range of treatments, or simply enjoy a coffee on the terrace or in the evening a meal in the italian restaurant followed by cocktails on the terrance overlooking the Med.

Gibraltar is genuinely Britain in the Sun, from the bobbies on the beat to the red telephone boxes it will remind you of home. Gibraltarians are staunch supporters of the UK and fiercely proud of their Crown Colony status. Gibraltarians are warm and friendly, nothing is too much trouble.

abandoned at night and my wife and I are both disa

Came for a weeks break and a relaxing week but it was anything but we arrived at 9 in the evening and pressed the buzzer but no answer after a lot of trying I rang the next number to be told the key holder was on holiday in England, to say i was frightened because my wife and I are both disabled and it being late at night was an understatement .I eventually got hold of Gloria in England thank god I had a contract phone to cut a very very long story short she put us up in the seediest dirty hotel in Gibraltar then the next day we were put in a box room come studio for two and a half days then eventually got put in the apartment we had paid for. By now we were exhausted from moving packing unpacking to find the apartment very average we couldn't turn the bedroom lights off and were told to just take the bulbs out the door of the kitchen cupboard was hanging off dirty marks on the floors cracked shower tray a lot of black mildew on the bedroom blinds and generally not that nice and has for the sea lapping at your feet yes 20 feet down with dustbins to look at there is no balcony just a narrow walk way, I could go on forever but don't be fooled with all the lovely bottles of cheap wine and please please give us a good review and yet another bottle of wine you have been warned

AMAZING ....

My the sister, brother in law and I stayed here in October, the apartment was perfect, a real home from home, in fact it is someone's home, everything was provided, even to a torch and umbrella, they had left folders with information on all the amenities and attractions within the Gibraltar area too. The location was absolutely perfect, overlooking a secluded beach and bay, no noise other than the lapping of the waves onto the beach. I have already recommended this apartment to friends and would certainly visit again.

We live in London most of the year and holiday in Gibraltar as many times as we can because we love it so much.

Why they chose this property

We wanted something near the beach and you can't get much closer than this without getting your feet wet. We are planning to retire to Gibraltar when the time comes.

We fell in love with the apartment the moment we saw it, not only for the fantastic views, beach, facilities and the apartment itself but also because we love the peace and tranquility of the area.
