Everything you need with a fantastic view!
The owner was very helpful and offered plenty of advice where to go etc.
We would have given 5 stars but the steps, 84, to reach the apartment might be too much for some people. We are in our 50's and 60's and managed them will little difficulty. The area has many very good restaurants and there is usually some form of entertainment going on.
The apartment is extremely comfortable and is well furnished. There are ample electric sockets and mirrors well placed in the apartment. The views from the terrace are fantastic, you can see the old port and sea in the background.
To get into the port and old town takes around 15 minutes at a relaxing pace.
Do take a boat trip to the islands, a lovely day out.
We would def go back.
The appartment was very clean, excellent location and the view from the terrace was fantastic.
A beautiful view over the rooftops of Marseille. Good appartment for a city break
We stayed at Cour Julien for a three night break and thoroughly enjoyed it. The appartment was comfortable for the two of us although the climb up to the appartment is not for the faint hearted or unfit! The 84 steps up are worth it for the spectacular view of the traditional terracotta rooftops leading down to the Vieux Port and the Mediterranean out in the far distance. The area of Cour Julien is really charming with lots of small bars and restaurants and the local metro and bus routes mean that you can get to anywhere in Marseille easily and cheaply. The flat has most things you need but there is a local shop across the Espace Julien where you can stock up on basics. All in all this appartment is great for a couple of days and Marseille is a city that will leave a lasting impression you.
There are 84 stairs up and dowen!!! Not for cardiac disordered people! Otherwise this steps come to be " A staircase for heaven" - everything was exelent and the vew was mignifficant!!! Admirations!
A Magic Carpet
We loved this light, clean and recently renovated flat. The unique feature is the terrace with its panoramic views of the old port and city. We felt as though we were on a magic carpet flying over the roof tops!
Stepping out onto the street reveals the colourful pedestrianised area with shady trees, a fountain, musicians and numerous cafes. A good mini-market and boulangerie are just a minutes walk away. A Farmer's Market in the square is
also a regular feature.
The owner, Joanne, lives locally and couldn't have been more helpful. She has an excellent knowledge of Marseilles and helped us make the best of our stay.
The photos and description accurately show the features of this delightful property.
You will not regret staying here.

Cours Julien is a big pedestrianised square which is very popular for its cafés, restaurants, shaded terraces, arty boutiques and street art. Everything is on your doorstep: supermarkets, markets, bakeries, wine shops, beer shops, underground, buses, trams....
It is just 2 minutes on foot from Noailles, with its north African vibe (markets, restaurants, spice shops) and 10 minutes to the famous Old Port.
