Our stay at The Glasheen House was great! We were a family of 13 and we all slept comfortably and most had rooms with bathrooms. The kitchen and family room was great for gathering after a day of seeing Ireland. The house is a short taxi ride into Killarney and those taxi rides were part of the fun! The taxi drivers are characters and always had funny stories. If you are planning a trip to Killarney and want to stay somewhere comfortable and quite nice, speak with Eileen at the Glasheen house. She was very easy to deal with and provided us with everything we needed! I would return!

Awesome, awesome, awesome

This was a trip for eight golfers - and there are at least 8 bedrooms in the house. That alone would beat booking this through a tour operator where they put two to a hotel room. More than that, however, this house is absolutely beautiful, very well maintained, excellent quality throughout and incredibly spacious. Apart from the 8 bedrooms, it had two living rooms (each with a TV), a huge kitchen/dining room (we ate all breakfasts in), lots of shower facilities, a great patio where we'd shoot the breeze at night, great WiFi, etc, etc, etc. It's next door to a great pub - food was very good there (though we took several meals in Killarney - including at The Porterhouse (owner's restaurant - terrific!). And there's a grocery store within a few minutes. The house is only a few minutes out of Killarney - just an amazing town. We stayed at the house for 6 nights - probably went into town three times because it was so convenient. If you're doing a golf trip, there's no better way to go - centrally located amongst all the southwestern Ireland great courses (Ballybunion, Waterville, Tralee, Old Head - and make sure you play Dooms - hidden gem). Additionally, anybody who comes to play golf in Ireland has to anticipate some bad weather and having a house where you could air things out at night, put stuff in the dryer, etch - huge!!! Don't know how we would have done without it.

Communication with the owner, Eileen, was easy. She kept us informed as our trip approached and made a point of meeting us there when we arrived. Super nice!!!

I guess the best compliment I can pay to Glensheahan house is to say that, although this came about as a golf trip with eight guys, I'm already planning to see if my family would like to visit Ireland in the foreseeable future (I have no doubt they will, and my wife will really love it), and when we return, Glensheahan house will serve as our home away from home. Thank you Eileen!

Great Vacation Rental

This house is beautiful, and with nine bedrooms it is great for a large family vacation. Table seats 12, kitchen is fully functional with a large stove, and there are two separate living rooms. Torc Hotel is next door and is both convenient and good for meals. Would recommend to others.

Amazing home that was perfect for our family vacation hosting 3 generations!

The house had more than enough room for our family of 11 that ranged in age from 3 to 70! There were even a couple spare bedrooms. The house is beautifully decorated but not so that we were not comfortable living in each room. The house was immaculate and fully appointed to meet all of our needs, especially the kitchen. The location of the house was perfect for all of our day trips in Kerry and Cork. Killarney was our favorite town for dining and shopping. It was very helpful to have all the touring information provided in the entrance hall. We had a lovely dinner at the Porterhouse in Killarney. We would definitely return to Glensheahan House if given the chance. And it was a bonus for the kids to a horse grazing in the backyard!

Glensheahan House

This is by far the best holiday rental we have ever stayed in. From the moment we arrived entering the impressive driveway until we had (reluctantly) to leave, we had the most fantastic week in Glensheahan House. The house is simply divine and every detail is thought of. The kitchen has absolutely everything you need and more. The living rooms are fabulous and patio area the same. The bedrooms are beautifully decorated and well proportioned. We had the luxury of sleeping in the master suite and I can safely say it is right up there with the best hotel rooms. I often find that holiday rentals don't always live completely up to expectation, but this house far surpassed this and I would go back in a heartbeat, in fact we were sorry to leave!!!
