About Ann Louise Stebbing

We have moved to the south coast as we love sailing and living beside the water. We will really enjoy coming up to London when the flat is empty. Having lived in London most of our adult lives, we love coming back to visit friends and potter around our 'village'.

Ann Louise Stebbing purchased this apartment in 2000

Why Ann Louise Stebbing chose Kensington & Chelsea

I love being on the end of the terrace with windows all down the side of the property overlooking the quiet mews, as well as windows at the front and back - very unusual to have so much light and so many windows. And being on the side of the mews with the garden door leading out onto the mews, it feels very quiet and peaceful. I love the beautiful bijou garden

What makes this apartment unique

A four minute walk down the road to an assortment of shops, cafes, restaurants, supermarkets, delicatessens, hospital, buses, tube station in a very elegant, villagy area...or four minutes the other way to the funky area of Earls Court and Earls Court tube station which is a hub of all the different lines so very easy to get anywhere in London

This apartment is in the perfect location for famous international cultural and sporting events such as:

• St Patrick's Day

• Virgin Money London Marathon

• RHS Chelsea Flower Show

• Royal Ascot

• FA Cup Final 2016

• Wimbledon Lawn Tennis Championships

• Hampton Court Palace Flower Show

• Notting Hill Carnival

• Totally Thames Festival

• New Year's Eve Fireworks

I spent one month in London at this charming Chelsea flat. It was simply delightful. Nestled on a very private street yet walking distance to both the tube and bus stopes. Everything so very handy. And the flat itself was very quiet.

Just down the road are a variety of lovely restaurants and cafes.

The flat was filled with light and both the sitting room and master bedroom were quite spacious. It was exactly as described.

And the closets were more than ample. The owner, Ann Louis could not have been more helpful. If anything was needed, she was always there to resolve and accommodate; could not ask for more.

I would recommend this flat; it was beyond wonderful. I thoroughly enjoyed myself.

Thank you for sharing your flat.

10 days in London

Great location in the center of London. Great space. The garden extends apartment. Very comfortable for our family of 4. Half a mile walk to the Earls Court tube station and we could get everywhere from there.

The garage was very helpful ,as parking spaces are a premium.

There was construction(you are in the middle of London in the summer) noise around 9 am ,but that actually worked to get us out of bed.

Heads up there was no Air Conditioning, but we got along by buying a little fan.

Would definitely rent this apartment again. Thank you

Excellent. Perfect in every way

  • 5 of 5

The location of this apartment could not have been better. It is in a very quiet street in a very upmarket neighbourhood in the Chelsea/Fulham area of London. It has a number of very good restaurants, delis and small supermarkets in the vicinity. It is close to public transport, (Earl's Court, Gloucester Road and South Kensington underground stations) and is on the main bus routes to South Kensington, Knightsbridge and the King's Road.

It was a joy to stay in the apartment. It was very quiet, private and it did not feel like we were in a big City. The rooms are enormous, have plenty of light and there is a small secluded garden. There is also the added bonus of a garage, which is unusual in London. Furthermore the apartment was decorated with immaculate taste. Anne Louise has a great eye for detail, with thought given to every little convenience.

Anne Louise is a very gracious and thoughtful hostess/landlady, for whom nothing was too much trouble.

We would thoroughly recommend this apartment to anyone wishing to have a memorable stay in London.

Perfection!

  • 5 of 5

5 stars for London, Ann Louise and this lovely flat! The flat was exactly as described and located in a beautiful, safe, and quiet neighborhood. It was a 10 minute walk or less to the nearest line. Ann Louise was available the entire time and sent help immediately when we encountered a problem with the toilet handle. My husband and I stayed here with our 3 children. We couldn't have asked for a better experience! Thank you Ann Louise!

This home is located on a quiet residential street flanked by pillared period homes, just off the Fulham Road and a short walk from the King's Road, both filled with fabulous boutiques and high street shops (and choice of a variety of supermarkets and delicatessens!) ; an easy reach, either by foot, bus or bicycle, from Sloane Square: this is the place to be. A large choice of styles of bars, restaurants and cafes are within a walk of your door.

Take a pleasant walk up the King’s Road, with it's variety of high street shops and boutiques, eclectic bars and sophisticated restaurants, and you will arrive at Sloane Square, and from there you are a few minutes from Harrods, Harvey Nicols and Sloane Avenue. For those of a Thespian bent, the Royal Court theatre is on Sloane Square, and on Saturdays at the nearby Duke of York Square, a gastronomically cosmopolitan food market will keep all foodies happy!. The Saatchi gallery, a few minutes away, will delight all art fans, and a short and picturesque walk will take you down onto Chelsea embankment and the Thames, to the foot of the iconic Albert Bridge.(over the bridge into the beautiful Battersea Park)

For those who like to look beneath the surface to the layers of London history, which have built up over the centuries, Chelsea is a wonderful area to explore. Discover Crosby Hall, on Cheyne Walk, which was moved brick by brick from its original location in Bishopsgate, Thomas More’s house and an eternal monument to the ‘man for all seasons’; wander a little further down to what was once Henry VIII’s manor house (19 – 26 Cheyne Walk) and drink in the echoes of its old residents, from Katherine Parr (to whom Henry gave the house as a wedding present) to the tragic Lady Jane Grey, the nine – day Queen.

Chelsea has always been synonymous with wealth and royalty, ever since Henry VIII and his six successive wives haunted its enclaves, not to mention Thomas More, whose home in Cheyne Walk stands to this day. The King’s Road weaves its way through the area, carrying with it an aura of luxury and sophistication. However, despite its reputation for all that is chic and debonair, it still rings with the echoes of its Bohemian past, dispelling all odours of stuffiness. For centuries home to myriad artists – many of the pre-Raphaelites, Turner, the satirist Swift, and historian Carlyle spent their lives here in Chelsea – it was more recently the roosting place for Swinging Londoners, and a decade later, the birth place of punk. The famous Chelsea Art School is still a mecca for aspiring young artists, and lends the area intellectual glamour, whilst the surprising mixture of traditional and esoteric bars and clubs attracts London’s Bright Young Things – Chelsea is still very much up for the party!
