6TH FLOOR FARRAGUT HOUSE

This is the place to stay if you crave a vacation with a breathtaking view of the ocean and the amenities of family friendly resort living. The unit is on the desirable 'Point', containing the units closest to the beach. Enjoy your ocean view from the living room or master bedroom or while sipping a glass of wine on the balcony. It is an easy walk along the beach or through the town of Bethany Beach to the boardwalk.

Your three bedroom, two bath unit is on the 6th floor of Farragut House in Sea Colony East. This is a beautifully decorated condo with upgraded bathrooms and kitchen, with new appliances. Your unit has a refreshing look with a relaxed, comfortable feel. Each bedroom and The family room comes equipped with a TV, including several high definition TVs in the condo. There are VCRs, a DVD player, and the unit is wired for free internet access, both ethernet and wifi. The kitchen comes fully equipped. Linens and bath towels are included.

Sorry, smoking and pets are not permitted inside the unit or on the balcony.

All guests at Sea Colony are required to pay a recreation fee of $15 to $50 (depending on the time of year) per person over 3 years of age. This fee is a weekly fee and is paid at check-in. Please contact the Recreational Association at (302) 541-5988 if you would like additional information about the fee.

Please be aware that we do rent from Sunday to Sunday during the Summer months.

Go for the view

Perfect location on the beach. Unit has plenty of room and terrific views. We were there off season and weather was chilly so we did not use the resort amenities. Otherwise the resort is nice and away from the crowds of OB.

Awesome ocean view!

Our family of 5 adults had a great experience in this condo! It was exactly as pictured online. It was comfortable and very clean. The updated kitchen and bathrooms were very nice, along with the tv streaming service provided. The board games and puzzles were great for rainy weather. Bring your own paper products and laundry detergent. My mom uses a walker and she was able to manuever around pretty well. The only issue was the bathroom doors were too narrow for her walker to fit through but we made it work. The walk in shower with the built in seat was good to have. It was convenient having our towels and bed sheets provided. Two less things to pack! The bed mattresses in 2 of the bedrooms seemed a little dated but we all slept well. The view from the living area/balcony was just awesome! It was wonderful hearing the ocean waves when the sliding glass door and master bedroom windows were open. We did not use any of the amenties at Sea Colony but appreciated the availabilty of the sand wheelchairs they had to use. Luckily, because we rented at the end of Sept., they only charged us $15/person for our property badges. Because it is such a large complex, we were a little confused when we 1st arrived to check in but found our way around pretty easily after that. The owner was very responsive to all my questions. I would stay in this condo again if we plan a trip in the future.

Great family vacation spot

Sea Colony itself was a perfect family vacation spot for young kids. The pools and beach access could not have worked out better. While the condo was nice, we were disappointed to see that it’s not “beachy” as expected but a bit outdated. The furniture was fine for kids, since we weren’t worried about them ruining anything - however, it did not seem entirely clean (couch, chairs…). Overall, great trip and would come back to Sea Colony as a whole.

Wonderful Place

The owner was more than terrific. We had to switch dates and he was so gracious. He was also very proactive. Concerned about construction in the building where we originally rented, he moved us to another accommodation even more lovely and at the same price. That is a caring and careful landlord. The place was spotless and exactly as described. I would rent this unit again in a heartbeat.

Surprise

Nice clean property. Parking space was covered and near the elevator. Closing of facilities was not mentioned… Labor Day ended many pools access. The $50/person fee wasn’t mentioned either.

My wife, Fran, and I grew up in Pennsylvania (Hershey area and Pittsburgh, respectively) and currently live in the Virginia suburbs of D.C. Fran taught school in Maryland and I worked in the Federal government until retiring. Now I substitute teach in local high school and we both enjoy traveling.

Why they chose this property

After spending many summer vacations at the beach, we decided to buy in Bethany Beach, the area we loved visiting the most. We settled on Sea Colony as the best family resort in the Delaware-Ocean City area and have thoroughly enjoyed it with our children and grandchildren ever since.

What makes this property unique

Sea Colony is unique among Delaware-Maryland oceanfront properties in its family-friendly atmosphere and in the resort offerings it provides - tennis, indoor and outdoor (heated) pools, fitness centers, private beach, activities programs, etc. Within Sea Colony, our unit is in a prime location - perfect for viewing the beach/ocean as well as the pool and kiddie pool. We love it here.
