Remodeled old 3 bedroom 2 bath farmhouse on secluded 90 acre of fields and woods
About Tim Behrends
This was my grandparents farm. I grew up on a farm close by. We raised our kids in this house and still farm the land. I enjoy outdoor recreation, skiing, hiking and paddling.
Tim Behrends purchased this Farmhouse in 1919
Why Tim Behrends chose Hastings
My grandparents, parents and my family have all enjoyed living on a farm on the St Croix river.
What makes this Farmhouse unique
This house has the charm of an old simple farmhouse updated to include modern kitchen and baths. There are porches with swings, large lawn fire pits, fields, woods and river to explore.

Great Little Home for a Getaway!
Really enjoyed being able to disconnect for a couple of days. The surrounding property and nearby parks were beautiful. Only thing I wish had been clearer was that the distance to the river is quite a ways further than anticipated. Tim was a great host!
Quaint old homestead surrounded by nature and fields. Great walking trails. Plenty of room with tall ceilings, which seemed unusual in such an old building. Beautiful park near by with viewing platform to see eagles and their nest.
It was a pleasure to host Rose and her family. Had an opportunity to visit with them and discovered that my son student taught close to their home. Glad they had a good time and discovered the nearby nature center and trails.
I appreciate your staying in my farmhouse.
Nye wedding adventure
Cute old home with lots of history. Wood burning stove was a wonderful way to heat up the living area. Enjoyed time sitting on the couch and watching the fire
I really appreciate your staying at my farmhouse. Glad you enjoyed your wedding weekend.
Loved it. Tim a gracious host.
Wendi and friends are a wonderful group. They tried snowshoeing, hiking and someone tried sledding on the last of the snow. Wendi the bathroom by the living room was originally a closet and that's what my aunts called it. I discovered if you flip the dustpan over Matt can't get it off the hook. Hope to see you again.
