2023 calls for something more in the Siegman Home Away from Home. I have added a concierge service in which I will shop for your groceries and libations before your arrival. For the guests who wish to make use of this service, I ask you to email me a grocery list a week or so before your arrival. There is no charge for the actual shopping and I will have a receipt for all that is purchased which you can pay on arrival. This should help you not have to worry about shopping, packing the car, keeping the food fresh during the drive, unpacking the car, etc. I have a good deal of foodstuffs at the house so it will prevent you from buying things I already have and will be at your disposal. If you do not wish to take advantage of this service, there is no problem, many of us just like to do our own shopping.

I am retired and never really prepared for retirement by developing hobbies etc. I found I needed to be busy and as life has been good to me I felt I could possibly make other people's life a bit more enjoyable. My husband and I have traveled a lot and I have been thinking of how I could make other people's travel experience better. I love my Michigan home and decided to share it with others by incorporating my travel experience. I am attempting to create an experience they will remember and want to repeat. To date, my reviews have been very good so I think I have achieved my goal but I am never satisfied and always wish to do better.

Why they chose this property

I would choose this property because of the location (on the St. Mary's River adjoining Lake Superior) There is a never-ending trail of Freighters passing by and many fun-loving watercrafts cruise up the St. Mary's River. My home is within the city limits but far enough away that you don't get the hustle and bustle of a city. It is close enough to the International bridge that you get a two-for-one advantage of visiting the Upper Peninsula as well as Canada if you wish.

What makes this property unique

Spring : The spring season is glorious with the rebirth of all the foliage, the freshness of the earth and the fragarance of the Spring season The abundance of wildlife (ducks, geese, moose, deer, wild turkeys and on very rare occasions a bear if your lucky
Summer: The warmth of the summer sun cannot be beaten. The trees sparkle with new growth, and the water glistens like diamonds. fishing is good and many activities are planned by the many organizations which are bursting with fun ideas for the warm months of summer. A Certified ship's Captain lives next door and takes tourists out on fishing trips and sightseeing tours.
The Fall is spectacular. The chipmunks and squirrels are storing away their winter food supply. The smells of the three seasons have culminated with the drying of the foliage and nature's way of preparing for winter. The train trip up the Agawa Canyon on the Canadian side of the river cannot be duplicated.
The" UPERS" are the nicest people you have ever met. They are kind and courteous, friendly and polite and just what you want when you are visiting a new place. The historical significance of the Sault is well documented in the Tower of History
