Only one block from the ocean and three short blocks to famous Lanikai Beach, our Lanikai Vacation Home is a large, private, studio apartment with bath/laundry room and barbecue lanai/porch surrounding a large Mango tree. Everything is provided for your comfort, including full service kitchen, television, phone, and air conditioning. Enjoy a complimentary in-season fruit bowl with locally made chocolate and organic coffee. The pillow-top queen-size bed has an overhead fan and lamp lighting, with books and magazines in the headboard for relaxed reading. The single day-bed has a pull-out trundle underneath for a fourth person. Just lay your suitcase on the dressing table, hang up your mainland clothes, and get ready to enjoy a swim at the beach or in our garden pool. Only five minutes from Kailua Town for shopping centers and restaurants. Also close to Honolulu and Waikiki. Wi-Fi access is available in the studio. Lanikai Vacation Home is one block from small Lanikai beach at low tide (a tidal calendar is provided for the use of our guests,) and three short blocks away from large Lanikai beach, available at low or high tide. The studio is air-conditioned, or all the jalousie windows and glass doors can be opened for a wonderful Hawaiian breeze. Large washer & dryer. Decorative Hawaiian covers and pillows. Covered parking right in front of studio door. Outside lighting. The pool is only shared by our small family and is available for the use of our guests all day. Easy to use kitchen, plus other electric appliances and utensils, glasses, cups, and dinner ware. We provide a complimentary taste of organic coffee, Hawaiian chocolate and a variety of local fruit. Outdoor dining on private porch for four under a 60+ year old Mango tree. Large desk and very comfortable beds! Total quiet privacy or get to know friendly family. Beautiful, quiet and close to awesome beach!

As former residents of Hawaii returning for a reunion this was the perfect location for us. Cozy and comfortable. Close to beautiful beaches and yet not too far from Honolulu when we wanted to visit! We hope to be back before too long!

Exactly what the doctor ordered

Hawaii is home for us and to be able to kick back in such a quiet serene place just makes it perfect. Will definitely stay here again. Only draw back is if you have Verizon as a cell service you cannot use your phone except for texts. A land line would be helpful for local calls.

Owner's Response: Because Lanikai is an enclosed community with hills behind us and ocean in front, we have challenges receiving some cell phone providers: AT&T is the strongest and Verizon is the weakest. We have put up a phone antenna on the roof, which improves reception to some extent for Verizon users. We also put an extension to our land line in the studio to facilitate making local calls. Secluded oasis

My mother and I stayed in the apartment for a weeklong Mother-Daughter retreat. We loved how the apartment is tucked away, up off the street, so it was very quiet and peaceful at night. The property is meticulously taken care of, with lush vegetation and the cutest little lap pool I've ever seen. The apartment itself has literally everything you could find yourself needing while on vacation, which was very convenient. It's only 5 mins to Whole Foods, Foodland, Safeway and Longs Drugs, for all other items. The windows have louvered shutters and not actual windows that close, so it's basically open air feeling and gives you a wonderful warm Hawaiian air experience. There is an A/C unit, but we never needed it, even though it was in the 80's. The ceiling fan was enough. We woke leisurely to the sound of birds every morning with the sun rising, and then Lanikai (most picturesque) beach is a short walk away. Teresa is lovely and warm and inviting. I would recommend this place to anyone visiting Oahu. I could have stayed forever.

Great location

We enjoyed our stay at Theresa's small condo. It is located in a lovely neighbourhood and it is very easy to walk to Lanakai Beach and also @ a 20 min walk to Kailua beach.It is very well maintained with a lovely patio in the back for early morning coffee. Theresa has thought of the little extras which were well appreciated. Although 4 adults could stay there, we were 3 adults and it would be a bit cramped for 4 adults.

Smallish but homey

Teresa was a terrific host and we had all the comforts of home. This studio is located in a nice quiet neighbourhood and was clean and inviting. It was a very short walk to lanakai beach and @20 min walk to Kailua beach. (@3 min drive). We will definitely recommend this rental. We were comfortable with 3 adults but it would be a little cramped for 4 adults.
