An idyllic home in the beautiful Loire

Our family of four loved our stay at Chaumont-sur-Loire. The home was wonderful - spacious, comfortable, beautifully decorated, authentic and full of character. The location was great for exploring the Chateaux and lovely villages in the region.

We stayed for 2 weeks in May and used the Hunting Lodge as our home base. The house itself is large, very well equipped and we found everything we needed. The grounds and gardens are lovely, with climbing roses etc. and the location is extremely private. All of the Loire Valley sights on our list were within an easy drive … Chambord, Cheverny, Chenonceau, Chaumont, Amboise, Blois, Lavardin, etc. And one evening, we were treated to 2 hot air balloons slowly drifting by the front door … c’est magnifique !! Our host Carole was very helpful and easy to deal with. She obviously puts a lot of effort into making everything easy for visitors. We appreciated and highly recommend taking the time to read her personalized greeting and guide package. Merci Carole !!

merveilleux ...

Nous avons passé une semaine de vacances inoubliable dans le fantastique pavillon de chasse... la maison historique était tout simplement géniale, tous les accessoires étaient là ; le grand jardin avec piscine, table de ping pong et petit étang avec canards et foulques complétait la sensation de bien-être... situation super centrale au milieu des châteaux de la Loire... un grand merci à Madame Dru pour l'introduction et les renseignements ... nous avons tout aimé.
