My husband and I recently stayed at Emmanuelle's apartment for a 5 night stay in Paris, and it was absolutely perfect. The apartment is a great size for two people with a separate bedroom from the kitchen/living area. The bathroom is a very good size with a very nice shower. It has great WiFi access, and it has all of the things we needed to make the stay a great one (hairdryer, kitchen supplies, etc). It was clean, well-furnished, and had plenty of everything we needed (towels, toilet paper, etc).
The location cannot be beat--it's literally a five to seven minute walk to St. Michel - Notre Dome Metro/train stop which means a direct route to CDG airport as well as multiple metro lines. There are lots of great restaurants right around the block - I highly recommend the bistro right next door. Great food, great atmosphere, great people.
Many thanks to Emmanuelle for accommodating us for the stay. She was very responsive to our emails leading up to the visit, and she was very flexible when we missed our flight connection and arrived later than planned.
I would highly recommend this apartment to anyone looking to stay in Paris.
We had the pleasure of staying at Emmanuelles' lovely apartment in the Latin Quarter - a quiet, safe haven in an an apartment building in the heart of Paris right near the Sorbonne. We had plenty of space, a lovely shower, and Emmanuelle was a very gracious host. We spent three days wandering the city, walking to the Metro just around the corner from the apartment....discovering a delicious crepe place just on the other side of the street....and enjoying the many restaurants, gardens, and sights in the city. The apartment was perfectly situated, very well appointed and extremely well kept. The stairway up to the apartment kept us in shape! Thank you Emmanuelle - we would love to return!
What you see is what you get. Amazing experience and location from A to Z. Yes there is 75 steps, but this is Paris !
It's safer and super quiet even with the windows open. Thanks for the nice touch with the bottle of Chanpagne.
Than again. Will be back soon.
My husband & I (from Canada) stayed at "The Walls..." from Sept. 14th until Sept. 23rd, 2016. It was such a memorable experience that we would return in the blink of an eye on our next trip to Paris! Emmanuelle met us at the time of our arrival, introduced us to the apartment and gave us precious information regarding eating out nearby. She also helped us with RER, metro, bus & taxi directions for our days to come. Also, she was readily available if ever we had any problems or needed some advice. She made us feel extremely at home!
We couldn't have had a better location in Paris - the Latin Quarter. We could walk to Notre Dame in 5 minutes to admire its constant beauty, have a stroll along the Seine or head to The Louvre for the afternoon. A Metro station was a 5-minute walk away, as was a great market along Rue St. Germain. We shopped there often to stock up on fresh fruit, vegetables, a varitey of meats & cheeses & fresh fish (our weakness!). Not to mention a well-stocked wine shop. What's more to want?! Her apartment is also a stone's throw from the Sorbonne, the Pantheon & the Jardin de Luxembourg - which kept us busily relaxed the day before our departure.
The apartment itself was true to the photos - gracious & spacious. The bathroom was the best we'd had in our visit to France! The kitchen was well-equipped and very clean, the living area accomodated our moments of relaxation & meals, and the bedroom was comfortable & quiet with lots of space to organize clothes. She left us extras of everything we could possibly need. We very much appreciated the cold bottle of champagne that Emmanuelle offered upon arrival, especially because it was my husband's birthday - and it was an excellent champagne!
We would highly recommend "The Walls..." to friends, family - anyone wanting to spend some safe & comfortable time visiting Paris. Actually, we will book with Emmanuelle again when we are in Paris again!
Emmanuelle's apartment is light, spacious & quiet with a separate bedroom, living room, modern kitchen & bathroom. There are many comforts and conveniences including a welcome bottle of champagne & a washing machine. The location is fantastic within 5 mins walking distance of the river, many attractions, restaurants and shops. We had a wonderful time in Paris for 7 nights using Emmanuelle's apartment as our home base. The 75 stairs were a challenge some evenings, but kept us fit (phew) so take care! There is no elevator. We explored Paris during a 7day heatwave with temps unusually hot above 36 degrees Celsius. We had lots of refreshing showers. Next time there will be a fan. It's a great place to stay. Thanks Emmanuelle. Merci.
My wife & I stayed 4 nights here in August 2016 & found it to be a very pleasant & well fitted apartment. It is situated only a few minutes walk to plenty of restaurants & cafes as well as being only 10 minutes walk to Notre Dame. Metro stations are also very near with a direct service to CDG airport.
The only slight drawback is that it is situated on the 4th floor of the building which has no lift.
We are close to many restaurants that offer dishes from all around the world. Discover the Cluny Museum, Roman baths, the Pantheon, Norte Dame, Fontaine Saint Michel, Jardin du Luxumberg, Jardin des Plantes (botanical garden), the Seine, the beautiful boats, and all the attractions in the area.
