Our vacation home, Ka Pua Hale—meaning “Blossom House”—couldn’t be better situated. The secluded Sea Lodge Beach is a short walk away, and its pristine shoreline is perfect for swimming, snorkeling, or basking in the sun. A few minutes’ drive in the opposite direction brings you to the heart of Princeville, where you can pick up fresh pineapples at the local farmers’ market or tee off at the popular Makai Golf Club. Don’t forget to visit the 2,500-acre Princeville Ranch, where you can zipline through the jungle, explore the local waterfalls on horseback, and kayak down Kauai’s picturesque Kalihiwai Stream.
After a full day of adventure, Ka Pua Hale is the perfect retreat. The house is surrounded by a lush tropical garden and a one-and-a-half-acre community park, ideal for practicing your golf stroke or watching the sunset over the volcanic mountains. The home also includes a shaded terrace with several lounge chairs and an outdoor dining area.
Inside, the cathedral ceilings and Tommy Bahama-style furnishings invite you to kick back in true Hawaiian comfort. Our vacation rental costs less than any Princeville hotel. But, unlike a hotel, you get a full private home with three bedrooms, two bathrooms, an outdoor shower, and a full-sized washer and dryer. We also provide plenty of extra amenities, including mountain bikes, a high chair, a Pack ’n Play, snorkel gear, golf clubs, boogie boards, and beach chairs. And did we mention that, unlike many accommodations in the area, you can stay as few as three nights?

I love the outdoors...especially beaches! Kauai has the most spectacular beaches and they are all public! Having a busy life with work and family, Kauai is my retreat to just relax and let go. I love the people, the scenery and the weather...I am from Buffalo NY so you can understand that!!
Liz Kukulka purchased this house in 2006
My husband and I fell in love with Kauai in 1995 and decided to buy a home to retire here. The area is great for hiking, kayaking, every kind of water sport, biking and has a very nice community feeling. Princeville has everything you need; shopping, restaurants, beaches, library, parks, bike paths and a great group of residents! Once we are ready to retire we will make it our home!
Kauai's North Shore is a beautiful tropical area with a lot of character, its unique beaches, spectacular hikes and meandering rivers for Kayaking or paddle boarding. It is a laid back, relaxed area for a tranquil rejuvenating vacation. It truly is paradise, once you come you will want to return!
Your home is beautiful, just like the island. We had an amazing vacation with great weather, no rain! Much better than snowy Buffalo! We did tons of great activities, hikes, whale watch etc. The seals are great and the birds in the yard were fun to watch! Your house has it all, we will return again! Mahalo!
I do at least 1-2 vacation rentals a year, usually going thru local prop company. This was my first HomeAway experience. Liz and Dave's house was far and above the best rental I've stayed in. It didn't live like a rental. Felt like we were in someone's well kept and well equipped home. Tastefully furnished. Well equipped kitchen for home cooking. Plenty of linens. Lots of beach equipment and bikes. All stuff you would pay extra other spots. And Kauai north shore was awesome. We visited several local beaches on foot, a few on bikes, and two that were less than 15 min car ride. Cannot say enough about the property and the neighborhood. Oh, and the Christmas tree was gravy on top. Well done, folks. Thanks for an outstanding stay. Mahalo and mele kalikimaka.
I had stayed at this lovely house before, with two of my elderly friends. It was so much fun to go back with a large family group. We filled all the beds, but never felt crowded. The couch was big enough for all of us to sit and watch a movie together. The younger members of our party (in their 20s) were able to walk to the beaches and to Queen's Bath, and they enjoyed walking at night as well. We always felt safe. The neighbors were friendly. Staying in a neighborhood is so much quieter and homey than a hotel. We also spent a lot of time in a van, just driving all over the island sightseeing. Princeville worked fine as a headquarters for our adventures. Most of our activities were do-it-yourself, the younger people were on a budget. Everything they needed was at the house. One of our favorite things was breakfast at the Kountry Kitchen in Kapaa. Another favorite was Hanalei Gourmet (great place for lunch). We tried two of the restaurants in the shopping center in Princeville (good!) and it seems like we stopped at the ice cream shop there every day. But mostly we enjoyed shopping at the grocery store there and using the spacious, well stocked kitchen at the house to cook for ourselves. (Fresh pineapple and bacon for breakfast!!!)
Staying in a quiet neighborhood in a beautifully decorated and well-appointed home worked out perfectly for our family of 2 young adults and 2 parents. We stayed for one week in late August and thoroughly enjoyed the island. We shopped local farmer's markets and grocery stores, did most of our own cooking in the fully equipped kitchen then set up our dining on the patio. (We replaced any supplies that we depleted.) The garage full of snorkeling and beach supplies gave us an easy and successful time for our memorable adventures to Ke'e, Tunnels, Anini, and Poi' pu beaches and we returned home to the fun and functional outdoor shower over and over. We also loved biking through the neighborhoods (just to explore or in search of the best sunset venue) using the available bicycles.
We spent a week in Kauai and found the house to be perfect for our family. It was well stocked with fun beach toys that really enhanced our stay ( the yellow boogie board will have a special place in our family history since our four year old fell in love with boogie boarding on it :) . The kitchen had everything you could want and more and the overall feel of the place was warm and welcoming . Liz was super helpful and we can't wait to come back!
We spent a few days on the North shore of Kauai and overall had a wonderful time in this home. The house is big and beautiful and clean, and the little backyard is a delight with frequent visits from adorable exotic birds and lizards. Most importantly, the house has everything you could ever need to help you enjoy your vacation. There are many snorkel kits, boards, towels, bikes etc available for the guests as well as a broad and informative collection of guide books about the island. Perfect for those like us who didn't really prepare their trip much!! We didn't meet the owners but Liz provided helpful tips prior to our arrival and the next door neighbors were very friendly and welcoming. The only downfall _ for us _ was that Princeville itself is really a resort town, with little character and the only restaurants/bars we could find were located within big hotel resorts, time shares or golf courses. Of course, this has nothing to do with the house itself, which is awesome, and this is something we would have known if we had done more research online prior to our trip. But I thought this info may benefit other last-minute vacation planners like ourselves! Again, overall, this house has all the convenience in the world and I highly recommend it.
We loved this place. The decor and attention to detail was amazing. Everything we might have needed for fun on the island was in the garage, including beach chairs and bicycles. Liz, the owner was easy to work with and quick to respond to any questions. Definitely 5 stars.

Princeville is on the north Shore of Kauai, this is were the true tropical paradise exists. There is one after another of spectacular beaches to swim, surf, walk, kayak, snorkel and relax on! Annini Beach, and Hanalei Bay Beach are just 2 of our favorite beaches for family enjoyment. There is no place like the North Shore of Kauai and the quaint town of Hanalei with good food, shopping, and fun by the beach!
Whether your planning a couples getaway, an elegant Hawaiian Wedding ,honeymoon or a family vacation, our home will make the perfect location!
Golf: There’s no secret to Kauai’s spectacular golf offerings. It’s a winning combination that adds up to a true golfer’s paradise. Our vacation rental home is within walking distance to The Prince Golf Course and we provide 2 sets of golf clubs for your use!

Designed by Robert Trent Jones, Jr., the Prince Course has been rated as the top course in Hawaii by Golf Digest.
