With its central location and thoughtful amenities, this Kauai vacation rental is sure to exceed every expectation. If you’re looking for proof, all you have to do is read our glowing reviews. Past guests often comment that their Kauai experience would not have been the same had they stayed anywhere else.

Our vacation home, Ka Pua Hale—meaning “Blossom House”—couldn’t be better situated. The secluded Sea Lodge Beach is a short walk away, and its pristine shoreline is perfect for swimming, snorkeling, or basking in the sun. A few minutes’ drive in the opposite direction brings you to the heart of Princeville, where you can pick up fresh pineapples at the local farmers’ market or tee off at the popular Makai Golf Club. Don’t forget to visit the 2,500-acre Princeville Ranch, where you can zipline through the jungle, explore the local waterfalls on horseback, and kayak down Kauai’s picturesque Kalihiwai Stream.

After a full day of adventure, Ka Pua Hale is the perfect retreat. The house is surrounded by a lush tropical garden and a one-and-a-half-acre community park, ideal for practicing your golf stroke or watching the sunset over the volcanic mountains. The home also includes a shaded terrace with several lounge chairs and an outdoor dining area.

Inside, the cathedral ceilings and Tommy Bahama-style furnishings invite you to kick back in true Hawaiian comfort. Our vacation rental costs less than any Princeville hotel. But, unlike a hotel, you get a full private home with three bedrooms, two bathrooms, an outdoor shower, and a full-sized washer and dryer. We also provide plenty of extra amenities, including mountain bikes, a high chair, a Pack ’n Play, snorkel gear, golf clubs, boogie boards, and beach chairs. And did we mention that, unlike many accommodations in the area, you can stay as few as three nights?

This popular and well-rated Kauai vacation rental is sure to book fast. Contact us today to reserve your dates!

About Liz Kukulka

I love the outdoors...especially beaches! Kauai has the most spectacular beaches and they are all public! Having a busy life with work and family, Kauai is my retreat to just relax and let go. I love the people, the scenery and the weather...I am from Buffalo NY so you can understand that!!

Liz Kukulka purchased this house in 2006

Why Liz Kukulka chose Princeville

My husband and I fell in love with Kauai in 1995 and decided to buy a home to retire here. The area is great for hiking, kayaking, every kind of water sport, biking and has a very nice community feeling. Princeville has everything you need; shopping, restaurants, beaches, library, parks, bike paths and a great group of residents! Once we are ready to retire we will make it our home!

What makes this house unique

Kauai's North Shore is a beautiful tropical area with a lot of character, its unique beaches, spectacular hikes and meandering rivers for Kayaking or paddle boarding. It is a laid back, relaxed area for a tranquil rejuvenating vacation. It truly is paradise, once you come you will want to return!

Guestbook comments from the owner

Your home is beautiful, just like the island. We had an amazing vacation with great weather, no rain! Much better than snowy Buffalo! We did tons of great activities, hikes, whale watch etc. The seals are great and the birds in the yard were fun to watch! Your house has it all, we will return again! Mahalo!

Great home for families

  • 5 of 5

We just spent a week in Kauai with this rental as our home base. We've rented many properties on Kauai over the years and this is a favorite. The location is convenient, the setting is lovely with a private backyard garden sitting/dining area and a great outdoor shower. The home is extremely well equipped (including beach equipment and bikes), really one of the best in all our travels. Beds are comfortable, kitchen is really large, and there is plenty of room for all to spread out...which we needed given the record breaking rain during our visit. Thanks to the family for sharing their home!

Owner's Response: Mahalo for the great review, we strive to go above and beyond with our home and it is nice to know that we are succeeding with it! The rains and floods that happened during your stay was unprecedented and it will take some time for the North Shore to recover. Thanks you again and remember we love welcoming back past guests to their home away from home! Liz and Dave

Highly Recommend

  • 5 of 5

We had a great time staying at this home. It was very nice and in a nice neighborhood. They had everything you could think of. I must of missed something though, because I'm not sure how you could walk to the beach from there. It would be quite a walk. We did have to drive everywhere but that seems pretty normal for Kauai. Would definitely recommend and would love to stay here again!

Great place for a family vacation

  • 5 of 5

This place was perfect for our extended family of 4 adults and 2 toddlers. The location was perfect for easy access to food shopping, beaches and other parts of the north shore. It was also very quiet. One nice feature is a big grassy open field out behind the house which was rarely used by anyone but us. Great place for the kids to runaround and play and to star gaze at night.. The house has everything you could want. Lots of beach toys, snorkeling gear, boogie boards,, bicycles (5 I think), toys for kids, games, puzzles. There is a pack and play with a mattress and it looked like there was a stroller which we did not use. The kitchen was very well stocked with condiments and cooking utensils. Probably had ;more gadgets, containers, cooking utensils than my own kitchen. The owners get back to you right away with answers to questions and are eager to fix any problems.

Lovely home on a lovely island

  • 5 of 5

The house was perfect for 6 of us. We took advantage of the wonderful farmer's markets for fresh fruit and enjoyed lots of the nearby restaurants in the darling town of Hanalei. Our stay was far too short, but we managed to squeeze in beach time, an ATV adventure, botanical gardens and Waimea Canyon. We appreciated all the amenities Liz and Dave have for their guests; beach chairs, boogie boards, snorkel gear, well stocked kitchen and the guest book with laminated maps to the hidden beaches. It was super fun to watch movies featuring Kauai too. We rent through VRBO several times a year and appreciate the responsiveness and communication Liz and Dave offer when booking. Now we get why there are so many glowing reviews for such a reasonably priced property!
