This third-floor (top floor) condo, nicely decorated southwestern style, looks over the city to the Plaza, and beyond to the Santa Fe Mountains. Walk a couple blocks to a shopping mall with an excellent supermarket and a variety of fine stores. Walk another 6 blocks and you're at the famed Plaza, the heart of Santa Fe. The Santa Fe Opera is a five-minute drive. Dozens of fine southwestern restaurants are within a few minutes drive (as is everything in Santa Fe).

NOTE: We have a new 32' flat screen TV in the bedroom, and a new 47' flat screen TV in the living room.

High Speed internet--wireless.

The kitchen is fully equipped; all you need is groceries to be operational.

Activities available are too numerous to account for: hiking, rock climbing, Indian ruins at Bandolier National Monument, festivals and crafts (Spanish and Indian Markets in summer), Fiesta/Balloon Festival in the fall, 5 museums including the Georgia O'Keefe Museum, the International Museum of Folk Art, and Skiing in the winter, 18 miles distant.

PS: Horseback Riding! Fred Espinosa, a very savvy, experienced wrangler, has a beautiful set up in Tesuque, just a few miles up 285/84, with a range of beautiful horses and trails. Reasonable rates. Call Lori, 575 751 6180

About Glynn

We both have a great love for Santa Fe so we had to have a second home here to escape the Texas heat. Even when it's hot or cold in Santa Fe, it's moderate. It's a place you'll want to return to often because its small size belies the breadth of art, restaurants, and scenic discoveries that abound, most within a 10 minute drive, others as day trips.

Why Glynn chose Santa Fe

The condo has a perfect location: easy drive to the city and all areas around the city, ample free parking in lot close to elevator, AC in summer and wonderful views. After a long day shopping, hiking, or walking the plaza, it's nice to drive 2-3 minutes to our home out of the fray.

What makes this condo unique

Sweeping view of Santa Fe Mtns. and City. Air conditioned in summer. Laundry INSIDE the condo. TWO flatscreen TV's, digital service, one in Living room and one in the master bathroom. Condo is well-stocked with linens, paper products, and kitchen cooking ware and utensils. You just need your food! Guests love the extensive southwestern art on display and the other southwestern touches in fabrics and art decor, and the leather furniture.

Great stay

This SF apt gives excellent value for your money. The pictures and description are accurate. The spotless apt is spacious (two good-sized bedrooms, big living/dining area, 1.5 baths, terrace with view of nearby hills); comfortable (a/c, washer/dryer, and kitchen, baths are well appointed -- perhaps they could add a hair dryer?; there's an elevator so getting luggage to the 3rd floor was a breeze); and conveniently located, making it easy to slip into tourist central downtown, head to Tesuque, the Opera and the northern hills, and reach artsy districts like the Railyard and Baca, the revived boutiquey De Vargas Center and not least, the places vital to day to day living -- markets, drugstores, etc -- along Cerrillos Rd. The owners were accessible and helpful, answering questions pre-visit, providing written instructions on how to use appliances, and leaving a detailed book on what to see and do and where to eat, including a local favorite Jinja's -- excellent, try it. The only significant drawback is that the apt is located right next to a main highway so that the terrace is noisy, dampening its enjoyment for one of us. Inside, however, is quiet and the bedrooms are in the back so sleeping was never a problem. One minor point -- the condo complex (not the apt) is showing signs of wear; could do with a bit more care. Bottom line: Would we stay here again -- an emphatic Yes!

Owner's Response: Wonderful, detailed review. Very much appreciated. To comment on one or two points: we do provide a hair dryer in the condo, but I will check to be sure it has not gone missing. It's true, especially in the high season, there is traffic on the main road and that can bother some folks who are sensitive to that, but the other side of the coin is that this is the spot that gives guests easy access to all points inside and outside Santa Fe, a sweeping view of the mountains and city, and you don't hear the traffic from inside the condo. Most guests don't stay in the condo or on the balcony for more than coffee in the morning or a drink in the evening. A small drawback for this guest from what they said about returning to this condo: "an emphatic Yes!"

Santa Fe Visit

The condo was wonderful and conveniently located to downtown Santa Fe. The view from the balcony with the mountains was lovely. All the amenities were in great condition. Very cozy. The only recommendation is that the owner should not expect guests to strip their beds and launder their towels especially since we pay a fee for cleaning services.

Owner's Response: I'm sorry for this misunderstanding about guests doing laundry! Doing any laundry is optional: in our check out instructions, we ask guests to start the laundry ONLY IF they have the TIME AND INCLINATION to do so because it helps us get the laundry finished between guests during the very busy season from spring to October. We definitely do not "expect" guests to do any of this. Many guests request early check in, and we always try to accommodate that request if the cleaning is done (and not done hastily), but it's the laundry that takes the most time, so that's why we ask this, but again--only if the guest can begin the laundry before check out without any pressure put on their schedule or sense of relaxation during their last morning with us.

Clean and convenient

My sister and I enjoyed our stay at this charming little condo. Glenn was readily available for any questions we had and very accommodating when we needed an early check-in. Everything was clean and the kitchen was well stocked with all the little things we might need. Check-in and check-out were super easy.

Perfect Location, Beautiful Views, and easy access to roads North for daily adventures.

This condo was perfect in every way. Location, location, location. Beautiful Southwestern decor. Two-bedrooms with a private 1/2 bath with connecting doors that provided the needed privacy. Balcony with a perfect view of Santa Fe with a mountain backdrop. I took my niece on her first trip to experience the enchanted land of New Mexico and create lifelong memories and this condo was the perfect setting for our daily adventures. Glenn the owner, could not have been more hospitable and accommodating. Please put this place on your list

Owner's Response: Besides gratitude for this lovely review, I want to also clarify that the bathroom arrangement is One full and a second half bathroom with connecting doors, so one bathroom with a tub/shower, vanity sink and toilet, and a half bath with a vanity sink and toilet--both accessible from the two sides, yet private when needed. I'm the manager, not the owner, but I live here locally and manage the condo for Den Freaney, who lives in Texas, as if I own it. Glynn

Very homey convenient accommodation

We really enjoyed our stay there. It was completely equipped with everything we needed. The beds were comfortable, it was not fancy but felt like home, actually no complaints at all. The location was quiet yet very convenient to everything in Santa Fe. Our trip was cut short by a hiking accident, and Glynn kindly offered reasonable ways to be able to stay there again. Glynn was very accommodating. We would gladly stay there again!

Skiing & hiking just a 20 minute drive up the mountain from the plaza area. Hiking trails around the city. Huge wide-open DOG PARK one mile from condo (no leashes required). Unique shopping areas serve collectors of southwestern decor and jewelry, incl. Native American wares; over 200 art galleries and over 250 excellent restaurants within 10 minutes of the condo. Santa Fe is the second largest art market in the U.S and unique for quality food of all types for this size of city. No traffic problems, a fun walking city, and an easy drive to all attractions, including Bandolier National Monument, in all directions: world class Opera in summer, Lensic Theatre for music and theater year round, micro breweries, jazz and blues. A number of great museums, including Children's Museum, International Folk Art Museum, History Museum, Spanish Mus., Native American Museums, both contemporary and traditional. Some museums are in plaza area, some on Museum Hill about 15 minute drive. A fun, easy city to be in!
