A Great Escape from the City
We stayed for two weeks.
Just the two of us but there is room for more.
We loved the spaciousness in the house.
Nights were quiet, days noisy with the road right beside the house.
The outdoor area, sitting beside the vineyard for late drinks, was fabulous.
The poor internet connection was a major negative for us. The kitchen and dining room has very poor signal, the bedroom and entry room better signal but extremely slow speeds. Additionally, the router had poor security settings according to Apple.
We traveled to the coast to Arcachon which was a fabulous day and not too long in the car. We traveled east to Beynac about two hours drive each way that was also fabulous. We spent time looking for good local markets. Not easy to find at all
Saint Emilion is a beautiful town nearby.
A good bistro in Puisseguen which is very close. You could walk there if the weather is nice.
If you are happy reading a book rather than trying to do business or write a blog, then this is the perfect place.
Nathalie is a great host and very friendly. We really appreciated spending time with her learning about winemaking in France.
