Why Paolo chose Municipio I
The street is part of the centre but it is definetely out of the noise and the caos, yet it is only five minutes away from the lively and interesting medieval neighborhood of Trastevere and a 15 minutes walk from the main tourist attractions. The street is exclusive, residential and very green, it is also very peaceful and the building, which hosts only 8 apartments, was designed by a famous architect in 1928.

Perfect Apartment to Enjoy Rome
We had such a wonderful stay at this apartment. The location is on a little hill on a lush residential street about a 10 minute walk to the heart of Trastevere. Lots of greenery when you look out the window. We walked all of Rome from the apartment and it was easy to get everywhere. We loved staying in the Trastevere neighborhood, which is youthful and vibrant.
We were met by Carmen on arrival, even though we were a little earlier than expected. She showed us around the apartment and gave us some tips for where to go and how to navigate Rome. The apartment was very clean and looks just like the photos. The kitchen has everything you need. We had a late departure in the afternoon and Paolo was very nice to accommodate us by allowing us to leave our bags until it was time for our train.
Great place to call home for a few days. We hope to be back again.
Great Flat in Trastevere
My husband and I rented this lovely flat for 4 nights. It is in a quiet building on the second floor. It is large and very comfortable. Paolo met us and made sure we had everything we needed.
We were able to walk to most sites and loved the neighborhood.
Overall a great place . . .
The apartment was very clean with a comfortable bed and well stocked kitchen. It was in a quiet neighborhood with quick access to the tram system. The one issue we had with this places is that the shower is very small. I am 5' 0" and medium build, and my husband is 5'8" with broad shoulders. It was like taking a shower in a phone booth, and the shower leaked a lot of water on the floor. The next day I didn't shut the door all the was so that the seam of the door was actually draining in the shower. That stopped the flooding of the floor.
I understand the issue. I have planned on changing the shower box and installing a larger one. It will be done very soon.
A quiet location that is close to all the action in Trastavere.
Location was perfect: very quiet location, but just a few blocks from all the action and great restaurants and bars in the Trastavere. The kitchen was well-supplied with dishes, cups, glassware and utensils. Even had a stovetop expresso pot which we used every morning to start our day with a couple cups of espresso. The internet worked well. A couple nearby bars we enjoyed were the Samovar and Enoteca La Vita (try the negronis!). And a favorite nearby restaurant: Meriodinale. Other reviewers mentioned the small shower and yes it is very small. But it worked fine for us. (just recognize that if you drop something you'll have to step out of the shower to pick it up!) Paolo always answered our messaging when we had questions - we appreciated his letting us know that Uber is expensive in Italy (we had seen that on a previous visit as well), and you are better off using the "Free Now" App to call taxi's: this worked very well for us (just realize, unlike Uber, you don't pay over the App, but pay the taxi driver directly). We would definitely book this property again.
Great quiet, character apartment
The neighborhood was quiet and short walk to all grocery stores and restaurants. Paolo was an excellent host and was very helpful with directions and how the apt worked . I would recommend this place highly!

Excellent stay in Trestevere
We had a wonderful stay in Trestevere at Paolo's apartment. The location was perfect, just far enough away from the noise of the busy area but close enough to access nearby grocery stores, numerous restaurants and gelato stores.
There were far too many wonderful restaurants to list here, but Paolo did show us one just 2 minutes from the apartment (Cafe Glorioso), here you can eat fresh pasta for 5 Euros including coffee and water, best deal in Trestevere.
The apartment was perfect, all the amenities you could ask for. Very comfortable bed (firm, but nice), AC worked well, lovely view of the gardens and the entire building was SAFE. There is an elevator which came in handy for suitcases and groceries.
Lots of hot water for showers and although the shower was small as previously mentioned, that is very normal for European apartments.
We travel with VRBO alot throughout Europe and this apartment was by far one of the best we have stayed at. Very traditional, lovely marble floors, original all around, like going back in time but with comfort.
Plenty of seating areas, extra bedroom (single bed), comfortable queen bedroom, lots of mirrors, hair dryer, cart for groceries (very handy) umbrella, nice sized refrigerator, laundry machine (which we used ), drying rack for clothes and lovely parakeets to wake you up gently in the morning. Besides, you're there to experience Rome, not sleep all day.
Trestevere is the heartbeat of Rome and we will definitely return to this apartment.
Thank you Paolo and company for your hospitality and gracious welcoming.
