Come share Our Bright Space!
Our friendly accommodations:
We have a private room with a Queen bed in the guest room and a fold-out bed in the couch for an extra guest in the living room. San Francisco is only a quick ride across the bridge, and downtown Oakland is minutes away. We are very close to public transit.
We have cannabis delights and adventures available for purchase to those over 21! Private message Thomas for more info.

After half a decade and 250 + positive reviews, we are ready to end our dependency on AirBNB! We are so glad you found our new listing here.
Our Listing has accommodated guests from all over the world and is a well established Oakland Fav!
We keep space for queers and people of color to offset the systematic oppression of these same people. Feel free to mention if you are part of a marginalized community, you ARE welcome and safe here!
We have one sweet shy cat, Titten.
We also have just adopted a Wolf! Just kidding... he is just a cat named Wolf! If you don’t read the sign on the door and accidentally open Lindon’s room you’ll meet him for yourself! He is sweet and playful!
Our area is one of the most diverse in Oakland. (Highland Hospital, Highland Terrace Area.)
If you are looking for a quiet clean neighborhood you will be disappointed; this area is filled with big families and the sound of children.
There is also construction, in the lot next to ours.
Use Lyft code LOSTBOIARMY for $5 in free Lyft rides. My place is a $5 ride from the closest Bart station. BART is $8 a ticket and so is the Ferry into SF.
BART is faster and the Ferry is more scenic, while LYFT is the most comfortable way to travel.
The choice is yours.
You may also use Promo Code LOSTBOIARMY on several online shopping stores. Private message, or come talk to me for more info!
If you are here to experience Oakland and SF Cannabis scene please know that I offer an immersion experience where I act as a guide and take you to local events related to cannabis! Private message, or come talk to me for more info!
I have a local art walk experience if you are into that kinda thing, I know a ton about the street art history of my area and I am happy to share
House Rules and important information:
We are happy to accommodate early arrival and late checkout for guests that communicate their needs before they arrive. Late checkout fee is non-negotiable, without advance notice to the host.
There are pets and kids in the home, book with the understanding that you will be sharing this home with cats and children. Yes, the kids play in the common spaces, no, they do not enter your private room.
To use the shower pull down on the spout, where the water comes out. Please see the pictures in the check-in link.
Yes! You can cook and use our dishes, but you are expected to clean up after yourselves or the host will clean up and assess a cleaning fee! Please do not leave food out overnight, the home is over 100 years old and left out food is a risk we don’t want to take.
Yes! We have a coffeemaker, sometimes we even have creamer! Feel free to make a pot of coffee at any time.
Our home is over 100 years old. Please ask if you need help with something, rather than risk breaking it if something breaks please bring it to my attention so that it doesn’t surprise the next guest.
Absolutely no doing laundry in the bathroom and/or hanging it in the room or living spaces. Wee items should be hung on the line out front. Guests caught hanging dripping items like this are putting my home in danger of mold development by creating moist carpet and will be charged a moisture removal fee. I am happy to take your laundry out, for an affordable rate! Let me take care of it!
We just added an Alexa remote! Simple to use, with Netflix and amazon prime video at your fingertips, or you may feel free to use your own account on our big smart TV. The manual is on the shelf behind the TV.
Please, no additional guests after 11 pm.
We play hosts to friends from every walk of life, all over the world. We live in Oakland because it is a place of great diversity, and our home is a reflection of that trait. Come here knowing that you are a welcome part of our family.
Please confirm for me in our messages that you understand you’ll be staying in a black area, for faster service. Oakland is my beautiful home and we are happy to host you, but I don’t want you to feel surprised by my community, so please don’t come expecting white suburbia. This is a diverse community filled with noise and love and families of all kinds.
