Ask a questionAbout Isis Rodriguez
I am an international “artista vanguardista” from San Francisco California who enjoys painting contemporary myths and legends and have been doing art since my childhood. I have been living in Mexico for 12 years and my heritage is of Mexican and Puerto Rican descent. I received my BFA in painting from the University of Kansas and moved to San Francisco, attending SFAI to pursue my career to be an artist in 1989. And while I sing the song, "I left my heart in San Francisco...".... I sing a new song "My soul is in Mexico..." Besides exhibiting my works internationally, I give classes in drawing in painting because I enjoy giving my students the skills and confidence to be an artist.
Isis Rodriguez purchased this apartment in 2018
Why Isis Rodriguez chose Colonia Independencia
I bought the land, because it sits on a hill, enjoying the views. It's just far enough out of town, where I can avoid traffic and noise, but close enough that I can walk or take a bus, which picks me up on the corner. I get the best of both worlds and so will you!
What makes this apartment unique
Your apartment is tucked inside the majestic art gallery, Galeria Nepantla, which showcases all my newest art works, which are designed to heal people. You will enter thru the gallery and ascend the wide industrial stairs to your 3rd floor private apartment. A gentle and well behaved little "Techichi" deer head chihuahua named Miga will accompany you to your apartment. Warning: She may want a belly rub or a treat in exchange! No worries. She doesn't bark often and she understands to keep quiet especially at night. Many people that have stayed in this apartment have been tempted to tuck Miga into their suitcase as a living Mexican souvenir, especially after telling them the story, that 500 years ago, this dog was used in healing ceremonies to remove "enfermedades" from people who were sick.
