Wow just Wow

  • 5 of 5

What can I say that hasn't been said already!

The owners have obviously spent a great deal of care and attention ensuring the winery has been restored to amazing detail and ensuring that everything is there to make your holiday the best it can be.

We were a family of 9 and not once were we treading each other's toes, there are lots of areas you can escape to if you need, however for us the amazing pool was the centre of fun you want on a holiday.

There is so much to do and see at Santorini, for us the highlights were an amazing catamaran trip which the villa manager Iro sorted for us. This was a half day trip all food and proper beer and wine included and the boat to ourselves.

I would also recommend the walk from Fira to Oia, make sure you wear sensible shoes, go early in the day, take water and a camera the views are absolutely stunning.

In terms of eating the best taverna we went to which is walking distance from the Winery was Marmita, the service was amazing with free Raki and most importantly the food was the best we had certainly I would recommend the moussaka.

Lastly I have to say the local bakery is to die for, we walked there every morning for Croissant and pain au chocolate and then ice cream in the afternoon, what a life!

I very rarely give 5 stars but if I could I would award 6

An amazing prooerty permitting the perfect Santorini experience

  • 5 of 5

The Winery is a beautiful property located a 5 minute walk from the pictureque typical Santorini village of Megalachori. Our extended family spent 8 idyllic nights here in July 2017. It is very spacious and extremely well fitted out, with numerous areas allowing for privacy if needed but also with large enough eating areas for everyone to come together. Our kids loved the pool and feeding the mules in nearby fields. To get to Thira and Oia we had fun quads to drive along spectacular coastal roads, but were always happy to come back to the tranquility of the winery. We did day trips out and one highlight was a day sailing, which for some was the best day of their lives! Panos the villa manager was extremely helpful and guided us in all we wanted to do while on the island. Perfect accommodation for a perfect Greek island holiday.

Wonderful Home!

  • 5 of 5

This home was amazing! Located in a quiet area away from the busy and crowded main cities of Santorini, it was still close to beaches, wine tasting, a bakery, groceries, and restaurants. The home itself was beautiful and had plenty of room for our large group of 10. Everything is so well maintained. The pool was beautiful and cleaned daily. The kids loved swimming and the adults enjoyed the many beautiful outside areas to dine, read, or relax. Sarah, the hostess, was very organized, professional and easy to work with. Panos, the house manager was also very professional, friendly, and accommodating. He was able to help us in booking a boat one day and dinner reservations another. He was there daily to check on our needs and clean the pool. We had a perfect vacation in this beautiful home.

Beautiful property, wonderful island!

  • 5 of 5

Previous reviews described how wonderful the property was and we were not disappointed. The villa provided enough space for everyone to have some alone time yet allow us to be together as a family either on the terrace, around the pool or in the large main living area. We had everything we needed. Panos was an absolute gem. He helped us with hire cars, a boat trip and transport to 2 weddings. This is our first visit to santorini but we will be back. A beautiful island with warm and friendly people.and a beautiful property to be able to spend time in. Thank you for making our holiday memorable...Anne and family..

A wonderful trip & stunning villa

  • 5 of 5

A wonderful trip & a superb, interesting & individual villa. The villa offered spectacular views, was in easy walking distance (little more than a few mins) to a local village offering shops, restaurants, & bakery (which i still miss!) The villa itself offers a wealth of space both for 'entertaining' but also gives everyone their own personal private space. (we were 8 adults, so one of the bedrooms wasn't even used.) We could spend as much time together or indeed apart as we wished! On a final note, the villa Manager Panos, was a god-send & superbly helpful, friendly & full of useful advice.

Absolutely Amazing!

  • 5 of 5

We booked The Winery Estate for a week long gathering with friends and family, and couldn't have had a better experience! The Winery is beautiful, well-appointed and spacious. The views are gorgeous, and we loved the setting--perched just "above" the town of Megalochori, surrounded by fields (and a few donkeys), all within sight of several churches, and of course the ocean.

And you can't write a review without mentioning the bakery that is a short walk from the Winery. We're still dreaming about the bakery.

The Winery is well-cared for, with many features that could only be possible in a restored winery. The multiple outdoor terraces ensured that everyone had plenty of room stretch out and enjoy some quiet time, or gather with the group around the pool or dining area.

Not only is the Winery itself amazing, but so is the villa manager. He helped us organize tours for our group, and was there every day to answer our many (and diverse) questions about the Winery and about life on Santorini. He provided all the help we could have asked for, and much more.

We all had a very memorable stay on Santorini, due in large part to the wonderful accommodations provided by The Winery, and by the graciousness of the owner and villa manager. We can't wait to go back!
