Thank you for a lovely week in your apartment in Garden of Eden.
We had a nice time in the resort and the children tried all 8 pools, while we stayed in the infinity pool near the apartment. My husband did go to the heated pool early every morning to do 50 lengths, while I got some time on the local beach.
The views are amazing from your balcony and exactly what you promised. Sea and Sun and boats sailing along.
We went to Nesebar for the day and the children stayed out late a few nights at Sunny Beach which was not far only 5km away or 50p by bus. Thank you for the advice of not booking in
Sunny Beach as that would have been too much.
Kids liked the free wifi in the apartment as it let them keep in touch on Facebook and Skype, while we enjoyed the bars on the resort and the cheap drinks.
We had a relaxing 2 weeks and will come back again and the children might just come out with friends.
The Black Sea Riviera
Bulgaria's long Black Sea coastline is the country's summertime playground, attracting tourists from across Europe and beyond, as well as Bulgarians themselves. The big, purpose-built resorts here are becoming serious rivals to those of Spain and Greece, while independent travellers will find plenty to explore away from the parasols and jet skis. Sparsely populated sandy beaches to the far south and north, the bird-filled Burgas Lakes and picturesque ancient towns such as Nesebâr and Sozopol are rewarding destinations, and the 'maritime capital' of Varna is one of Bulgaria's most vibrant cities, famous for its summer festival and nightlife as well as its many museums and galleries. Those with their own transport will have even greater choice, with the wild Strandzha Nature Park in the south and the picturesque Kaliakra Cape and Dobrudzha region in the north theirs to discover.
The old Ancient Thracian Settlement of Nessebar which is a 3000 year old UNESCO World Heritage Centre can be seen across the bay from our apartment. Water taxis run in the summer season from Garden of Eden to Nessebar harbour. This fascinating town is rich in culture, architecture and history. Explore the narrow cobbled streets and discover its unique atmosphere. Definitely worth returning to in the evening.
Bulgaria continues to offer great value for money, with consistently high standards and a wide range of leisure activities.
