Anna Maria Island offers the ideal destination for peace and tranquility. The northern village is surrounded by white sandy beaches, and the island itself has kept its old charm attraction. You can take the Free Trolley Bus from the City Pier all the way to the bottom of the island at Coquina Beach. Bike riding is the most popular activity in the northern village. An early morning ride to Ginee`s and Jane E`s Deli in the quirky Antique shop is a must for a daily fix of wonderful coffee`s, homemade pastries, cakes and

breakfkasts.

Pelican Drive is a quiet residential cul-de-sac, safe for children and only a 2 minute walk to the nearest beach and Anna Maria City Pier. During the day, you can stroll along one of the two piers found on the North, and you might even see a Dolphin or two swimming close by. There is an excellent choice of restaurants close by including the famous 'Sand Bar.' Here the sunsets are incredible, and there is nothing better than watching the sun go down with your favorite cocktail whilst the children play safely on the beach.

Our renovated bungalow offers space and modern amenities for the utmost enjoyment of your holiday. With the addition of an extra bedroom, the home is ideal for two families. The private swimming pool was added 2005 surrounded by decking and a lush garden leading to the Boat Dock.

Apart from the comfortable lounge area with two sofas, TV and DVD, we have created a further lounge overlooking the pool with a large picture window, Flat Screen TV and French doors leading into the Lanai with Breakfast table and sofa. Both areas are close to the refurbished kitchen with every amenity you could wish for.

Dining is easy with a more formal table for 6 which can extend to seat eight, and of course the Lanai has a dining area with cane chairs, is fully carpeted with screening and an overhead fan. So you can relax with the extra comforts and enjoy the indoor and outdoor life. Evenings are especially beautiful sitting here with the soft sound of the birds and the beautiful colors of the sky.

The Master King bedroom is spacious and has en suite facilities with double sinks, shower, toilet and walk-in wardrobe. The room also has a sliding door into the Lanai area, a great area for reading before breakfast.

The two twin bedrooms are bright and airy and benefit from large walk-in wardrobes. The family bathroom has been completely updated.

The newly added second Master bedroom boasts a brand new wet shower, vanity unit and cream colored furniture, which compliments the room. We have also added a wall mounted flat screen TV for further relaxation.

My husband John and I have a daughter aged 18 years. My hobbies include walking, keeping fit, socialising with my friends and reading. As my star sign is Cancer, living in the Midlands in England with a 2 hour drive to the sea I have to have my regular fix of the ocean!

Having been in the Travel Industry for many years I have travelled extensively and yet Anna Maria Island is my favourite place.

Why Elaine Donnelly chose Anna Maria

When we first visited Anna Maria in 2005 we fell in love with the island and bought our property during that visit! We chose Anna Maria because of the beaches, the weather, the fact that you don`t necessarily need a car when you can take the Free Trolley bus around the island. We spend most of our time riding our bikes to the beach and local amenities, lazing by the pool and simply enjoying family meals either at the house or in one of our favourite restaurants.

What makes this house unique

Our home overlooks the water and we spend many hours sitting by the pool or in the lanai watching the birds whilst the sun goes down and the children love the swimming pool. We now have three lounge areas so if there are 2 families on vacation the house is spacious with the 2 master bedrooms are on either side of the house for added privacy. You can walk to the nearest beach in 2 minutes and the spectacular Bean Point is a 2 minute drive.

We are now back from our holiday at your amazing home in Anna Maria and I just wanted to email our thanks and let you know that we had a wonderful time, we have stayed in Anna Maria 4 times now and we both agreed that yours was the nicest! It was so quiet and peaceful and so convenient for the City pier, Rod and Reel, Ginny's and Jane's and more!



It was so nice to sit in the Lani in the mornings and watch all the birds we even saw a hummingbird one morning!



However the main thing I wanted to say was you have a lovely home there and we loved every second Thank you so much and I hope we will be able to book with again when we return next year!

Great house in a great location!

This was our first time to AMI and we were not certain what to expect. We had to adjust our dates at the last minute and Elaine was very willing to work with us. The house was spacious with a great layout. Very clean! It had everything we needed for cooking, lounging, going to the beach...everything for a great vacation. The location was on a quiet culdesac with a dock on the canal. It was great being able to enjoy the pool while watching the boys fish. The only thing to mention is that there was not a gas grill but just a small camping charcoal grill. We were able to adjust our meals and it did not affect the experience or overall impressions of the house. We would definitely consider renting this home again when we visit AMI!

Some items not working properly and a grill mentioned was not there.

The house refrigerator was not working properly. It was not cooling or freezing properly. Thank goodness the frig in the garage was working. Also in a clients previous review which I read was mentioned that a grill was present on the premises. None was there even though on the refrigerator was instructions on how to clean it when leaving. There was even an open bag of charcoal for the grill in the garage. We were anticipating a grill so most of the food we purchased was for cooking on the grill and we also purchased charcoal and lighter fluid and lighter before coming to the property. This was reported to the phone number in the book left at the property but nothing was done about the situation. The property itself was very nice for our family and we would probably return if we new some of the items were corrected.

Owner's Response: Dear Elaine Thank you for your 4 star review and I am sorry for any confusion regarding the availability of a grill at the property however, I do not advertise a grill on my listing as I do not offer this facility to my guests. You asked me several other questions at the time of booking about fishing rods, slips in the local area for your boat, the local golf course and about beach chairs. As with other rental homes we do find however, some guests may choose to purchase a grill to use during their stay and very often leave it at the house. This is not included as part of the cleaners duties. I do ask any maintenance issues are reported to the management office to quickly resolve issues and for the overall enjoyment of your vacation. A delightful house in a good location

We very much enjoyed our stay, the house was clean and had everything we needed. The description is accurate, it's got lots of space and is in a quiet road only a few minutes' walk from the beach and from the main shops and restaurants. The owner was very helpful in giving recommendations and in responding to queries quickly.

Relaxing Oasis

We had a completely relaxing time at Elaine's place on Anna Maria Island. The pool and house was just what we needed to completely unplug from everyday life. Elaine was very responsive and we had no issues at all. Looking forward to going back!

We loved our vacation!

Perfect location - walking distance to the gorgeous soft sand beaches and located right on the canal, which was perfect for fishing! Our 3 kids loved the swimming pool so much! We will definitely be coming back here for our next vacation! We loved the house so much and the owner was extremely helpful and friendly! Thank you, Elaine!

Paradise

This is an amazing home. Very roomy, clean, the pool was worth the extra for the heat, pool also well maintained and the owner was also great. The home was well equipped with everything we needed. The spot on the island is very private, the neighbors that were there were also very nice. We were able to ride our bikes around the island. The weather was most cooperative, highs were above normal , not a cloud in the sky. Was difficult to leave.
