Condo, 1 Bedroom + Convertible bed(s), 1 Bath, (Sleeps 2-4)
We live in the San Fernando Valley area of Los Angeles, but we always look forward to our '2nd home' at Kaanapali Shores. Dave is a retired news video editor at NBCUniversal and Brenda is a retired food supervisor with the Los Angeles school district. Benda likes to cook and Dave is a huge Frank Sinatra fan and frequently 'sits in' singin' with Marty & Elayne at the famous Dresden Club in Hollywood.

Why Owner chose Lahaina
On our first trip to Maui, we were staying at the Sheraton and decided that we wanted a 2nd home in Maui. As soon as our realtor brought us to Kaanapali Shores, we knew that Kaanapali Shores was the place for us! It had just the right amount of resort atmosphere with the Beach Club restaurant and bar, the gift shops, etc., and still be a place where you could leisurely relax.
What makes this Condo unique
We enjoy the two pools, the Tropical (aka Garden) and Ocean, - each with its own ambiance. We find the location to be of great convenience, since there is a strip mall anchored by a full size food market right across the street. Kaanapali Shores, itself, has its oven sundry store for those last minute items you might have forgotten to purchase.

Super comfortable home away from home!
What can we say! This condo had it all; well equipped, great location, comfortable and our boys just loved spending time there. Great communication with the owners who responded quickly to messages and were very flexible when a flight cancellation resulted in us staying an extra day in Hawaii; we were very happy that the owners were able to let us stay an extra night. Would definitely return again! Jeff, Anthea. Xavier & Zachary
Property is in a great location with a beautiful view of the ocean. Unit is located a complex back from the ocean. Other than the washing machine not having cold water and a cockroach that was killed by my daughters foot, we had a great time and the unit met our needs.
My wife and I totally enjoyed our stay. Beautiful view. Perfect accommodations.would definitely come
Great value for all that you get!
My husband and I stayed here for our 7 day trip to Hawaii along with our son. The space was perfect for the 3 of us. The view is spectacular and we were super appreciative to find the "fun closet" with boogie boards, noodles, and more. Also, I am a horrible sleeper most anywhere but I found the Master bed and linens to be really comfortable. It was a great trip overall and I would definitely recommend this property! Thank you!
Maui Aston Kaanapali Shores
Nice property with 2 pools and beach access... close to most activities. Rooms are in need of updating but otherwise quite nice and roomy.
You're on Maui. You have a beautiful ocean view. How bad can it be? The condo is comfortable, relatively clean, and has all the accessories you need for a great stay on the island including a fully equipped kitchen, beach chairs, a cooler, and beach toys.
The complaints I have are minor. The unit is slightly dated and needs a little TLC like new paint. The only other complaints are about policies of the condo building itself. Renters of 'private units', of which this is one, do not have access to some of the amenities that renters of other units that are considered part of the hotel. That's fine as you don't pay a resort fee to stay there. However there are two issues where this creates an annoyance: First, 'private unit' renters are not allowed to use the bell carts to transport luggage. The bellman appear to only have two of them available for the entire hotel and actually have them locked up. It was pretty inconvenient for us as we had stopped at Costco beforehand to stock up on groceries for the week. The owners of these units pay enough in HOA dues that I would think they could afford to spring for a few more carts and allow others to use them.
Secondly, the Aston front desk employee who checks you in takes your credit card information so they can charge you for daily parking. It's $9/day to park in the lot, which is not cheap but fairly reasonable as resorts go on Maui and the price is not a surprise because it's fully disclosed. So they can charge you for parking, however for some reason, in 'private unit' rentals, they can't charge you for incidentals like food and drinks that you may want to put on your room. So if you're renting a private unit and eat at the restaurant or bar on the site, you can't charge it to your room like you can in any other hotel. If you've booked your room through the hotel, you can charge items to your room. Seems fairly silly.
Overall it was a very nice stay and I would definitely book again.
