This 1 bedroom apartment is directly located on the St Paul’s Bay seafront. The apartment enjoys spectacular views looking out towards Xemxija and is only 3km from Golden Bay beach!

Apartment specifications:

Front terrace (seafront) is 15 sq m, 2nd back terrace is 3sq m and 3rd back terrace is 2sqm. Penthouse has 35 sq m internal area. 4th floor with lift, 1 bedroom (with double bed), shower room, 2 sofa beds for 2 children to sleep separate, max 130 cm or with additional mattress to make a normal double bed 130cm wide.

Great sea views overlooking the bay.

Clean accommodation, well equipped, full internet use, balcony has beautiful view of the coastline and a BBQ. Bus stop outside, so great for visiting local attractions, including ferry terminal. Also there is a small hamper of cheese, bread, ham, butter, and water to eat and drink on arrival. THANK YOU really enjoyed.

Clean well equipped great veiws sky tv

From the bus stops right outside the apartment we went to VALLETTA, and the CIRKEWWA FERRY to GOZO (buy a travel card, & route map).

In BUGIBBA along the coast some nice places to eat . While there a new restaurant opposite the apartment opened called PEPE NERO we would recommend it. Over all a great stay 9 out 10 would go back.

Just what we needed

We came over for a short sunny break. We had a wonderful time. The apartment was very clean, bright, well equipped with all amenities and had a beautiful view overlooking the bay. We enjoyed a lovely glass of wine on the large front terrace and watched the pink sunset! A very nice stay. I hope to return to Malta later in the year when it's a little warmer! But still had a great time!

The apartment is clean and the caretaker ensures you are comfortable with the neighborhood upon arrival. You are on the main road in Malta with a bus stop in front of the apartment.

After confirming our stay five months in advance, the owners stated there was a mix-up of dates after the back-and-forth and we should come one day later (although he was kind enough to state he would find another arrangement if this could not work). The apartment is sun-soaked without an AC or umbrella for sun shade. We awoke the next morning to find ants in the kitchen - owners were there the same day to remedy that with traps. The grill should be thrown out - it is old and broken down and instead of buying a new one they simply changed a metal sheet on part of it - a sub-par fix. We were trying to connect to the internet to get directions to a museum when we noticed the power was out...without warning. There was no way of contacting the owners without incurring an international fee and roaming fee (which we did). The owners said that is a common occurrence in the neighborhood-thanks for the warning. Additionally, had this happened upon a return from our grocery trip we would have been stuck in the sardine can elevator without a working fan for THREE hours!!

There were no basics in the apartment - no water upon arrival, no fresh sponges to wash dishes, etc. We asked for a bread knife and the owners delivered one the same day. We left behind some water and beer for the next vacationers. Overall, the owners were trying to be accommodating and friendly, but did not meet our standards for a hassle-free comfortable stay.

Owner's Response: We appreciate your feedback. It is very important to us that the guests are comfortable during their stay so we ensure to be there instantly when you need us. This guest had booked a stay in Gozo before coming to Malta and decided to shorten their stay in Malta which therefore mixed up our dates in our system. We tried to accommodate this change of dates as much as possible to ensure a smoother, stress-free stay. The apartment is clean and bright with nice sea views. July is one of the hottest months in Malta - when pairing this humid climate with uncovered food on table tops and kitchen surfaces ants will appear all over the island so we spray down apartments with insecticide before the guests arrival. We specifically advertise that there are no air conditioning units in the apartment so guests are fully aware not to expect AC. The Maltese health and safety authorities do not allow us to supply umbrellas to any of our apartments - when it is windy they can blow away and cause severe injury to pedestrians walking below. We provide fans in every room plus there is always a nice sea breeze blowing up off the seafront. We fixed the grill by replacing the old part that had been damaged by hot sun and salty air. The power-cut was not our fault. The electrical lines pass from the street in front of the apartment so, when being maintained, the electricity is cut for an hour or two on the whole street without warning, outwith our control. The elevator is a normal 4 person lift with emergency phone and alarm inside - we will come and rescue you within half an hour. We are very surprised that you could not contact us - at first point of correspondence with our guests we immediately supply our whatsapp numbers, facebook link, emails and two separate 24/7 emergency phone numbers all free of charge so it strange that you could not contact us. Unfortunately, the health and safety authorities do not allow food or basics, as you mentioned, to be left in the apartment before a new guest arrives. As you well mentioned we are always available within 5 to 30 minutes to attend to any problems you may have in the apartment. We will also bring you anything extra at your request to make you trip hassle free. If you ever return to Malta you are always welcome to stay in one of our apartments :) kind regards, Neville and Ruth

St Paul`s Bay is one of the most beautiful villages in Malta. The Penthouse is located in a quiet area facing the fishing harbour. In fact one can enjoy seeing the fishermen coming in and going out of the harbour from the the terrace or in the sitting room. Just 150m away there is also a small swimming zone which is very popular with the locals for a quick swim. St Paul’s Bay has a busy town centre full of shops, banks, pharmacies etc. This is 800 m from the apartment. Bugibba and Qawra are new touristic areas in St Paul’s bay where one might find more bars, restaurants (also McDonalds and Pizza hut), diving and water sport centres, ferries to remote beaches and islands like Comino and Gozo. These areas are just 20 min walk form the penthouse.

The Penthouse is also close to the best sandy beaches like Mellieha Bay, Paradise Bay, Golden Sands, Gnejna Bay (5/10 minutes by bus) etc and Malta’s most intact countryside. In winter long walks and picnics in the countryside and along the sea are a must. In summer one can enjoy the sun at the beach in many ways from the most relaxing to the most adventurous ways. In the evening a walk on the promenade or a local village feast is a must. The bus stop is located in front of the door and the buses passes from the same street. Valletta and Mdina are 30 minutes by bus. Malta Airport 1 hour by bus. Ferry terminal to Gozo and Comino islands 15 minutes by bus.
