Fabulous Location and Views

My wife and I stayed there with four friends and family for a long weekend for the Gibraltar Music Festival and the location was perfect. The apartment was very clean and tidy except for a couple of small things like the trim around the wardrobe in the en-suite bedroom and the wardrobe door in the middle bedroom need fixing. Reading the original description of the property I presumed it would be three bedrooms and three bathrooms (en-suite, bathroom and shower room) but it is actually only two bathrooms. The balcony is fabulous with stunning views and we all thoroughly enjoyed it. We would highly recommend this apartment and will hopefully be staying there again in the future. Many thanks.

Did not live up to expectations

Upon entering the apartment we were told by property manager Suzanne the air conditioning was not working.

Substitute fans and portable a/c units proved useless over 5 very hot and humid days and nights. Construction next door restricted any outdoor space being utilised and acknowledgement from the owner that some compensation was due has yet to be honoured.

It is with regret that I write this review as prior to arrival communication was exemplary.

This experience ruined a long awaited holiday for 3 Southern Hemisphere travellers.

On the positive side the apartment is spacious and well located. However future patrons deserve to be informed of any maintenance issues prior to arrival.

With the ongoing construction next door I would strongly recommend you do your due diligence before booking this apartment in the foreseeable future

I am well travelled and have used this website many times and this is the first negative review i have had to post.

Owner's Response: Dear Guest Unfortunately, the air conditioning unit broke about 2 weeks before your arrival and we called in various engineers who confirmed it would no longer work. As you will understand, aircons are not usually kept in stock, they have to be ordered and this took just over 3 weeks. Meanwhile, we purchased 3 fans and 3 portable air-conditioning units which maintained the apartment cool at 24c. The construction of the building unfortunately i cannot do anything about. The monies i am in the process of returning when i receive your full bank details are not compensation, just a gesture of good will because you did not get to stay the first night in the apartment when your flights got delayed and you missed the connection, that is not something i have to do. I again apologise if you did not like the apartment, but it now has newly installed air conditioning units and the construction should be finished early next year, but the worst part is already over.

Not as advertised; broken A/C throughout entire stay, owner non-responsive!

10 night stay with a broken A/C unit on arrival, which lasted our entire stay; local property manager provided us with 3 oscillating fans for each bedroom and one- USELESS portable A/C unit. With June temps in 80s/ high humidity, combined with being on 16th floor-westerly facing... contributed to poor conditions for our family. On our complaint to owner we were offered 2 more USELESS portable A/C units which we took in hopes we would get some relief at night and then we were instructed to place reuseable ice packs in them nightly to cool things down further; which again was USELESS and inconvenient. We complained yet again and received NO response/ NO acknowledgement from the property owner; who's clearly more interested in profits then ensuring that the unit is delivered as advertised. This unit was NOT as advertised and we would NOT recommend renting from this owner!

Right on top of a building site,would have been nice to have been told about that,the apartment is great,would have been a lot better if we could have sat on the balcony chairs,I did ask for cushions,the ones sent far too small.

Pleasant stay in Gibraltar

Conveniently located with parking on-site. Assistance was available during our stay as needed. Great views. Would have liked to be shown the a/c remote controls and would have liked the shower gel to be left out as we felt uncomfortable looking in cabinets, but other than that - a great stay. Tea, coffee, milk, etc very nice welcome pack. Highly recommend with good restaurants onsite and a 5 min walk away in the Old Town.
