Gracious Living In The Heart of Historic Rome

  • 5 of 5

This apartment owner promised us comfort and convenience in a wonderfully fitted accommodation, and fulfilled every bit of that. It is a beautifully and completely furnished and decorated apartment. It exceeded the descriptions on line. Our host met us at the apartment on our late Saturday afternoon arrival, and showed us all about its features. He gave us a good summary of the neighborhood stores and made some restaurant recommendations: there are many good places to eat nearby. The location allowed us to easily walk to all of the major sites in historic Rome. This afforded us a terrific full week of site-seeing, from the Coliseum to the Vatican Museum to the Borghese Gardens and all the wonderful sites in between. Our host made arrangements for our comfortable return to the airport. We could not have asked for a more perfect stay, will highly recommend this apartment to our friends, and will return here ourselves on our next trip to the eternal city.

Excellent Rome apartment rental in wonderful location

  • 5 of 5

Wonderful vacation rental!

I highly recommend this apartment. We are a couple in our sixties and stayed a week. The rooms and furnishings are true to photos on the website. Exceptionally clean and spacious; Wonderful modern bathrooms and kitchen; Comfortable beds and quality linens. Bathrobes are provided. There is good internet wifi connection.

Edoardo, the owner was professional and responded quickly to any and all of my inquiries. Before our arrival he organized our car transfers to and from the airport and train terminal. He also sent me tour information and at our request scheduled private tours with a quality company that met us at the apartment. When we arrived Edoardo and his father greeted us, showed us around the apartment, and identified the location of the nearby supermarket and pharmacy.

The apartment location is perfect for Rome visitors. It was our first time there and if you are walkers most sites in our tour book were within a half hour walk, including the Vatican. Otherwise, there is a taxi stand less than a five minute walk from the apartment. There are also many restaurants&cafes in the area and two pastry shops on the same block where we shopped for breakfast treats enjoyed back at the apartment most mornings. And cash machines in several nearby locations.

My only suggestion is that a small supply of basics like dish detergent, diswasher pods, laundry pods, and paper towels be provided.

Edoardo and his father returned to the apartment at the end of our stay to pick up the keys and return our security deposit. They are very gracious hosts, and want to ensure the comfort of their renters.

We would definitely recommend this apartment to friends and will stay there on future visits to Rome.

Centrally located, perfectly equipped with an outstanding owner

We booked this apartment for a pre-cruise stay in Rome, having searched various sites. We just kept going back to this one based on prior reviews, and we can't say enough good things about our stay. We are in the hospitality business, operating a top ranked bed and breakfast and boutique hotel in Upstate New York, and we can recognize genuine customer care and high quality lodgings and we got it here and more.

First let me say there were three of us and very few (if any) hotels have rooms that can accommodate three people. Those that do cost a fortune! So this stay was a great value, as well although there was no skimping on furnishings or amenities.

The level of taste and care Eduardo clearly put into the apartment's renovation shows, and his care in working with his clients starts from first contact through check out gave us great confidence that our stay would be wonderful. He arranged car services to both pick us up at the airport and take us to the cruise terminal.

The apartment itself couldn't be more well located right off the Via Del Corso. It is fitted out with everything one could want or need. Even though the apartment is in a centrally located, There was never an issue with noise. Quite the contrary as we enjoyed peaceful nights' sleep for each of our three nights (including one night with an amazing thunderstorm). Coming "home" at the end of a busy day to enjoy a glass of wine before dinner was a real treat.

We already have plans to rent Eduardo's other apartment by the Piazza Del Popolo in June, and after this stay we are so excited to stay at the other apartment.

Just cannot say enough good things about Eduardo and the Piazza di Spagna apartment. Do NOT hesitate to book your stay here. You'll be thrilled you did!

Our stay was fantastic! The apartment was well appointed, impeccably clean, and extremely quiet in the midst of a very busy section of Rome. The apartment was centrally located and other historical sites were easily reached from this location. Edoardo was very helpful - arranging our transport from the airport to the apartment, plus several interesting tours with engaging guides. We would definitely return! Barb and Jerry. 10/7 - 12/2016

Terrific location

  • 4 of 5

This was our 1st of 4 apartments in our 3 week tour of Italy for 2 couples, 70+. Edouard answered every email fully and promptly, which was a boon to 4 people who usually book upscale tour but were doing a 'hands-on' scheduling of every aspect of this trip . Edouardo greeted us at the apartment on our arrival and explained everything in great English. Also as noted, the security deposit is significant and due in cash when you arrive, but Edouardo came promptly the morning we left and returned it, which we found very professional.

The location was perfect, a half block off the Via del Corso. We were steps away from fabulous restaurants in abudance, gelatorias, a grocery store, shopping, and many venues. It would be quite a walk to the Vatican, but we did walk home after our tour. The Victor Emmanuel II Monument is a bit of a walk but we did it several times. We also did mile long walk to and from the coliseum.

There is a small, European style, elevator that was great for luggage, and took the 4 of us up to the apartment. The apartment is very spacious with a full kitchen, but no microwave. There is a nespresso machine and Edouardo provides some pods, but you might bring your favorites. There is no frother, so I heated milk for my lattes. For those who don't want to bother, there are tons of cafes nearby for lattes and breakfast pastries.

Notes to American travelers: Italians do not provide washcloths as we know them, so bring your own. Like a previous commenter, we also purchased bars of soap. Many European bathrooms have tubs with handheld shower heads, however this apartment has two shower stalls. The master bedroom shower stall is huge, but the second bath has a very small shower stall, so the individuals using that bathroom can't be too large.

Since this was our first apartment, we didn't know to fully appreciate the great washer and separate dryer in the master bath. We wished we could have taken them with us for the rest of the trip. We did bring our own detergent.

Kudos to Edouado for also providing transportation: for both couples, arriving on two different days, he arranged for a car to pick us up promptly. On our departure he arranged for a car to drive us to Florence with a delightful driver who joined us for lunch in Cartona, home of "Under the Tuscan Sun".
