4 star+, very good apartment, great location + parking, could be 5 if...

5 adults, stayed for 4 nights in winter, like cooking

Good 1) very well located by commercial pedestrian street, near cathedral and old shopping district, near great food market (st martin) and wine shop; 2) apartment spacious and well laid out, very comfortable for 5 - stayed in a good amount and just wanted to hang out 3) everything works, heater in bathroom 4) good communication and responsiveness 5) reserved parking in cathedral lot 6) pricing for our period very fair 7) can cook & eat meals for 5 (with a little planning with respect to pots and pans)

Could be improved/small negatives 1) Could be better provisioned - maybe starter kit for kitchen, almost nothing? 2) Get new pots and pans 3) we arrived Dec 26 at 5pm, apartment not yet made up. So we went out for shopping + dinner. When we came back apartment was very clean, but could have used more toilet paper, kitchen paper towels. Anyway, when we sms'd Aritz he was ready to supply but my kids bought provisions already. Also it's just after xmas so I give the benefit of the doubt. 4) bottom refrigerator drawer can't be opened because of how the cabinet is configured so you can't use it. It's still a big ref but extra space could be useful if many in your group.

Overall very good. Would stay again. Fixing small items would make it 5 star.

Fabulous apartment steps away from everything!

Loved our stay in the Prim! It was clean, comfortable and accessible to absolutely every part of the city! Would recommend it to anyone, especially a young family.

Great location and plenty of space (plus parking) in San Sebastian!

We enjoyed a lovely stay during the last week of September at this apartment. Aritz was helpful and responsive from our very first email and was there waiting for us when we arrived. We found the location of the apartment to be perfect and the garage was key for us as we had a couple of trips outside San Sebastian (and parking in SS is challenging). There were only two of us, so there was more than enough space; I think that it would also be perfect for two couples or a family. We appreciated having the washer/dryer as well as a spot to hang some items to dry. We did not use the kitchen since there are so many great places to eat, but it is a nice size and with nice appliances. As some others have noted, the challenge if you want to cook is that you'd have to buy everything including salt, pepper, olive oil, etc. It would be nice to have a few of those staples available. The main thing that stops me from giving this a 5 star review was that despite the fact that it overlooks a pedestrian courtyard, it could be quite noisy late at night with both people and a street sweeper. If we closed the terrace doors, it helped block out the noise quite well, but then you didn't get any air movement. I think it would have been perfect if we'd had a fan to keep it cooler so we could keep the doors closed. We'd recommend checking out some of the local pintxo places--everyone goes to the Old Town, but there are also several spots right nearby that are quite good. This apartment was definitely a good value, in a great location and we would definitely stay here again if we are in San Sebastian.

An excellent apartment rental in the heart of San Sebastian, Spain

Four of us shared this second floor apartment rental for four nights. The apartment opens with a full balcony onto a busy pedestrian thoroughfare lined with cafes, etc. No noise problem, however; when the doors are shut, it's fully quiet inside. The overall location of the apartment relative to the city is excellent. Walking almost anywhere was easy. The apartment itself is very clean and comfortable. The kitchen is not especially well appointed for in-house meals though this did not matter to us....too many good spots to eat out. Underground, secure parking is included. That's a bonus because street parking is difficult. The manager of the property, Aritz, is a true gem. He was totally helpful and responded quickly if we had a question or concern. Our group of four would fully recommend this apartment rental. Small concerns: no soap in bathrooms; kitchen not well supplied. Overall: we'd rent the same place again when we return.

We're Coming Back!!!

The apartment was so nice and was so nicely situated that one of our parties is contemplating renting it for month. We were just down the street from the cathedral, on a street filled with restaurants, tapas bars, and shopping. Veronika, the property manager, was wonderful - she was very responsive to every need and question. She even gave one of our party a list of retail boot stores for use when we arrived in Madrid. The apartment was very, very nice - comfortable and clean. We would DEFINITELY stay here again and happily recommend it.
