Two bedroom accommodation. The downstairs bedroom is fitted with a Super King bed to allow you to spread out. The upstairs has double and bunk beds with its own en-suite for the kids. There is a fully equipped kitchen/living area, laundry facilities and wet room.

Our attached leisure area has Table Tennis, Pool and Fussball Tables and outside we have a Trampoline. For those with green fingers are developing our own garden in which you are welcome to pick the fruit and vegetables in season, or join in the planting and pruning out of season.

About Glenn or Jacqueline

My name is Glenn and I own Drumlin Lane, which I run with the help of my sister Jacqueline, mother Rebecca, and father Jim.

I grew up about 300 metres from Drumlin Lane on the family farm, and attended school in Lisburn before studying in Scotland, Belfast and Vancouver.

Currently, I work as a Good Relations Officer, helping to build relationships between Communities in Northern Ireland.

In my spare time, I love travelling, Bikram Yoga, short mat indoor bowls and bouncing on the Trampoline at Drumlin Lane.

Why Glenn or Jacqueline chose Northern Ireland

I came up with the idea of building holiday accommodation on family land about 6-7 years ago, I then got to work, built and finally opened Drumlin Lane for business in September 2012. I remember as a child sitting in the tractor with my dad as he cut silage on the site of Drumlin Lane, so the land itself has special significance to me.

The site itself seemed an obvious place to build because of the stunning views. The design of the houses was always meant to ensure environmental sustainability coupled with comfort. Solar panels, PV panels, rainwater harvesting, heat recovery systems, air source heat pump, triple glazing and high levels of airtightness make Drumlin Lane's demand on energy very low.

What makes this house unique

We have a 12' trampoline sunken in the ground at the front of the house. Not only is it great of bouncing on and super safe, but when the sun shines it is the warmest most comfortable place to lie down that you could imagine. Whenever guests are having a BBQ in summer months the trampoline is often the focal area for the whole family.

Drumlin Lane is located a few miles from the historic village of Hillsborough, which includes the official residence of the Queen in Northern Ireland, it's own forest and lake, and some of the finest pubs and restaurants in the country including The Plough, Hillside and Parson's Nose. We have idyllic views over-looking Slieve Croob and on a clear day the Mountains of Mourne.

Another 3-4 miles will take you to the City of Lisburn, with it's own Leisureplex, gymnastics centre, swimming pool, shopping, and historical sites and activities.

We are only a 30 minute drive from Belfast where you will find the Titanic Visitor Centre and Zoo, and a mere 90 mins from Dublin. Our central location 7 minutes from the main North South - East West arterial roads, makes us an ideal base to explore The Mountains of Mourne in the East, The Giant's Causeway in the North, Lough Neagh and The Fermanagh Lakes to the West, and Carnlough and the Republic of Ireland to the South.
