About this property

Luxury Living in Scenic Meadow

Beautiful newly built wood cabin, 2,800 square feet, 3 bedrooms, 2 1/2 baths. Master bedroom on upper level with living room and kitchen. Lower level has family room, bath and 2 bedrooms. Both floors have views of a meadow and forest. Living room and kitchen have vaulted ceilings. Designer leather sofas, log pine furniture. Floor to ceiling viewing windows of expansive meadow and forest.

Property has no neighboring houses for 3/4 of an acre and backs up to National Forest Service land with direct access to an extensive trail system for hiking, mountain biking, snowmobiling and All Terrain Vehicle riding.

Master bath has 2 person Jacuzzi tub and views of the forest. Kitchen has granite counters, stainless steel appliances and a 12 foot pine log table that seats 15 with expansive views. The cabin is conveniently located 41 miles from both Zion and Bryce National Parks, 12 miles from Cedar Breaks National Monument and 25 miles from Brianhead Ski Resort.

Brianhead receives snow from November through mid-April and has a wonderful ski and snowboarding school for children. It is a very family friendly mountain. In the summer, there are several lakes in the area such as Navajo Lake (8 miles) and there's a private lake just down the road that is stocked with trout in May.

Duck Creek Cabin southern Utah
Unbelievable vacation. The home is very nice, large, comfortable. Excellent, well stocked kitchen. The owners were responsive when we needed help figuring out how to turn the water on. The location is fantastic with easy access to things to do around Duck Creek, Brian's Head, Bryce, Zion, Coral Pink sands, Kanab (all done during our 6 days). As nice a home base as you could want in one of the best playgrounds in the world.

Very nice and clean home in a great location situated between Bryce and Zion.
Enjoyed the evenings sitting on the deck watching the deer play in the meadow and having a cold one after long days hiking the trails. We would love to return and would not hesitate to rent this home again.

Great Thanksgiving!!!
This is a beautiful home in a great location! We had five adults and three kids. We all had a great time. It was a perfect location to visit Zion and Bryce. The snow was an added bonus. My family is from CA and we don't get show. My daughter (6 and 9) had a great time sledding. If you're planning to use this cabin when there might be snow, take snow chains. You might need them!

We had a GREAT time here!
My family's "Magnificent Seven" stayed at this beautiful cabin. All seven would give it a 5 star rating! As much as we love each other--a little space is appreciated! I can't imagine that staying in hotel rooms for the week. This cabin is definitely the way to go!The layout of the house is spacious--lots of room for family fun in the living room, dining area and kitchen. The huge counter and table are super for games and activities. The master bedroom and bath are on the main floor, but it is amazingly quiet in there! The beds in the whole house are comfy with plenty of blankets (and yes, it did get incredibly chilly in the evenings. I loved it!) The kitchen is gorgeous. As others have noticed, the knives were hard to use (not a big deal on vacation for me) but there are plenty of dishes, cookware, etc.The appliances are top notch; even a trash compactor that assisted us in not having to carry out trash every day.(By the way--though I didn't see any instructions to do so, we took our trash to the convenient dumpsters at the corner of Harris Spring Road and Route 14. Easy!) There were paper towels, dish soap and toilet paper, too, but bring personal toiletries with you, including laundry detergent if you want to wash clothes. This cabin contributed a lot to helping us have the PERFECT vacation in all the parks that are mentioned --indescribable beauty! Even close by the cabin there are terrific places to see.We especially liked Navajo Lake and Cascade Falls. The deer are plentiful (careful with driving at dusk!!) A note about the region that could be helpful--unless you are from this region, you will be surprised by how dry the climate it. Yes, we've been told "but it's a dry heat!" time and again -- but it truly did affect us. We suffered nose bleeds, headaches, shortness of breath and minor "spaciness" affecting the adults each day. Only the grandkids (10 and 15) didn't seem to mind. SO, my advice: bring saline nasal sprays, a gallon of moisturizer--and headache relief if you're prone to that. Of course,WATER to carry when you leave the cabin -- a refillable bottle works well because all the parks have many refill stations. If you're the grandma like I am, be ready to take it slow and easy. I even puffed a little coming up the stairs--and i don't do that where I live! (but, our 40 year old "athletes" were still jogging!) Even with that said, I still say it was a PERFECT place to stay to enjoy this amazing region of Utah! What a wonderful time!

Life of Luxury
All 5 of us (2 adults and 3 kids) were thrilled with this house. It was a perfect location for day trips to Cedar Breaks, Zion, Bryce, Dixie Natl Forest and Arizona - each afternoon/night, returning "home" to the mountain cabin. It always felt great to walk in, to have space, to relax in comfort. We prepared a majority of our meals there which was a big cost-savings. Beautiful kitchen. Beds were comfy, living room was awesome. Great master bathroom. Nice and quiet. Awesome wifi (better than we have in the city!). At 8,000 feet, it cooled down at night and most mornings were in the low 40s (heaven). Each night, a great breeze came through and cooled everything off from the heat of the day. It was a great experience! Cons: the bbq is charcoal and not easy to keep lit in the wind (we only used it once and gave up); the few knives in the kitchen are very dull so don't plan on doing much cutting/slicing/dicing unless you bring your own; we were under the impression that there would be some DVDs there but there were none; and be sure to bring kitchen paper towels/kleenex/shampoo/soap for shower - none of these are provided (we were surprised). These are all pretty minor things but worth pointing out. Other than that - it was quite perfect. Summer activities nearby - in Dixie Natl Forest, recommend Mammoth Cave (lava tube) and Cascade Falls hike. Cedar Breaks was wonderful with great hiking trails and overlooks. And Zion and Bryce - the activities are endless - so much to see and do. A fantastic vacation, made even better by this cabin.
