Apartment with terrace completely renovated in March 2015 with excellent views over the Tormes River and the historic area of ​​the city, which has two bedrooms, living room, kitchen, two bathrooms, patio, terrace and large garage. Great Location!

Great location for sightseeing and leisure strolls along a beautiful river. We enjoyed the fun layout of the apartment. The only downside in our opinion is that the mattress feels quite worn.

Great location and facilities

This is a great place to stay if you wish to explore Salamanca. A minute away from the Puerta Romano, it’s but a 5 minute walk into the town and it’s impressive cathedrals. The town is incredibly interesting and we would recommend the “Ieronomus tour” of the cathedrals. Incredibly, you are able to explore areas of these most historic buildings in a way we have never experienced before, in and around the building’s heart: ancient stairways, historical rooms, towers and roofs! Just watch out for the chiming bells - which can come as a bit of a shock!

Claudia’s apartment is very well appointed (and Claudia is the perfect host). A nice large lounge, two good sized bedrooms, two shower rooms and a well equipped kitchen. Even the kitchen knives were sharp - a small matter for some but a huge bonus if you’re a cook!

It also has a secure garage - a boon for us as we were touring and had a full car of personal items. It’s great to be able to park up and not unpack everything from the car when touring multiple locations.

A great place to visit and a great place to stay and enjoy it from.

Relaxing oasis close to historic city

Spacious, comfortable modern apartment with an industrial feel with a splendid rooftop terrace. Claudia was an exceptional host with good English. Close to roman bridge to walk over to the beautiful walled city of Salamanca and also great walks along the river.

Would definitely recommend this to friends and would stay again if we ever come back this way.

Well located, spacious apartment with garage

The owner arrived at the apartment a little before the agreed time (as did we). She gave us a very thorough explanation of all the apartment features, along with local maps and restaurant advice.

The apartment is located across the river from the old town area – which is visible from the roof-top terrace. The walk to town is about 5 minutes across the historic Roman bridge. Because it is not actually in the old town, access by car is much easier. There is on-street parking available, but not needed as the apartment has a large, lock-up garage on the first floor. The flight of steps up to the main level of the apartment are a bit longer than usual because of the garage height and quite narrow. There was no problem getting the bags up because they have built-in an electric lift (dumb waiter) which does all the work. There is also a chair lift on the staircase in case anyone has mobility problems.

The apartment has been recently renovated and they have done a great job of it. The living furniture is comfortable, the kitchen is well equipped (including dishwasher) and the main and en-suite bathrooms are well appointed. There is a small enclosed terrace attached to the kitchen (great for breakfast), and a large open terrace on the roof – with views across the river to the old town. The kitchen was stocked with all the usual condiments, the bathrooms provided with soap and shampoo, and there was also powder for the dishwasher and washing machine.

The TV has Spanish channels only. WiFi internet access is provided, but it is a wireless service. OK but a little slow (and very slow at busy times for the network).

The only issues we had were: (1) the lack of air-conditioning. We were there during a very hot spell of summer. Leaving the windows open at night was problematic as the road outside had light, intermittent traffic that went on well into the night. and (2) the small, firm main bed. We ended up sleeping separately in the main and second bedrooms. Neither of these issues were a major problem for us over the two days we stayed, but may grate a little more over a longer stay.

Overall, it is a good apartment and well located. It suited our purposes very well.

Very Near the Heart of the City

The apartment is in an excellent position, just a short walk across the Roman bridge to the old city. The apartment is attractively decorated, well-furnished and well-equipped. Despite being near to a busy road, the apartment is very quiet and well insulated.

The private garage and the roof terrace are a bonus, although, when we were there, the weather was not good enough to enjoy the latter.

Claudia gave us a charming and helpful welcome to her lovely apartment and wonderful city.
