Why Wendy Simpson chose Capestang

On the outskirts of Capestang, Le a Petit Saint Nazaire is a former wine growers residence surrounded by vineyards.

It is dominated by a 14th century church. Situated on the Canal du Midi, now a designated world heritage site. Ideally placed with the sandy beaches of the Mediterranean to the South and the Regional Park of Haut Languedoc to the North.

Lovely gite with great garden

  • 5 of 5

We had a fantastic stay, our gite was lovely - comfortable and well equipped. The garden is great too, lots of things to do for children and our kids loved playing in it. Wendy and Pat were brilliant, great hosts and really helpful.

Lovely gite with great pool

  • 5 of 5

The gite was lovely and clean, with everything you could need, and a great selection of food was kindly provided by Wendy and Pat for when we arrived. The pool was fabulous, with lots of inflatables and games to make use of. Many places are within easy reach, and our children particularly liked the lake near Homps. Thank you for making us so welcome!

Fantastic stay with family

  • 5 of 5

We had a brilliant time with our 5 and 3 year old sons staying here for 10 days. Wendy and Pat were really welcoming and nothing was too much hassle for them. We were really surprised on how much there was to do in the area with the kids. The nearest beach was about 30 mins away but the pool was such a good size that we only visited the beach twice during our stay. Loads of toys in the garden too to keep the little ones occupied and a beautiful area of the world to explore....

Thanks Wendy and Pat for a very relaxing stay and a warm welcome. The kids loved the pool and the garden (and all the wildlife) and we found the property very comfortable and really well located for beaches and things to do. Hope to visit again.

Great Value Gite in a Good Location

  • 5 of 5

Stayed here for 2 weeks in July 17. The owners are lovely people who really looked after us. The Gite was well equipped, just the right size for us. The swimming pool is excellent, a good size for swimming in, not just a plunge. The deep end was deep enough to dive in. The garden was lovely with a few little secluded pretty areas where you could enjoy a private lunch or read your book with a nice view over the fields away from the kids in the pool.

The location was within a short drive of some great sites to visit including beaches, the Canal du Midi and Minerve.

Delightful property in very attractive setting

  • 4 of 5

This was one of 2 adjacent gites, attached to the main house and converted very tastefully by the owners Wendy and Pat. It was furnished to reflect every possible need and provided an extremely welcoming and very comfortable base to explore this intriguing area. The pool and gardens were lovely, with hidden nooks and crannies to investigate and little private corners just perfect for the end-of-day glass of rose. Proximity to the Canal du Midi, the coast and historic towns ensure a varied programme of activity is easy to organise.

I would like to award a 4 1/2 star rating, as the only slight drawback is the proximity of a quite busy road. In all other respects Wendy and Pat's little corner of the Languedoc is wonderful and their welcome to guests generous and warm.
